Riad Laaroussa was one of my husband and my favorite places to stay during our 3 week tour around Morocco. What a gorgeous, historic property! The Terrace Suite was luxurious, oozing with character, spacious, very well equipped, and we had a great view from our private terrace. The bed was comfortable with soft linens and good pillows. The bathroom was enormous with a deep soaking tub, large shower, bidet, double sinks and a closet with loads of storage. Towels, robes and slippers were top quality. They offer a very reasonable, quick and excellent laundry service among their many amenities. It was quiet during the day and night, so we slept soundly. We're so glad that we had 3 nights here and would have been happy staying longer. Service was outstanding. Everyone here treated us with such kind attention and care. We especially appreciated Othmane, who we think is a manager, though all the people working in the riad were delightful. Meals in their rooftop bistro were good, especially breakfast. On a very hot day we cooled off in their pool, which is in a peaceful setting with plenty of loungers, sun or shade - your choice. The location in the medina is convenient and they escorted us to dinner at a different riad one night and came back to collect us afterwards. We really can't say enough good things about this riad and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to Fes.

Loved our Red room, staff was amazing, food was very good and so was the limited but good Moroccan wine if you splurge a bit. Hamman is a must if you never had one. Would come back anytime.

J’ai séjourné au Riad Laaroussa avec mes enfants, et ce fut une expérience absolument formidable. Je suis venue seule avec eux, et dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une grande gentillesse et beaucoup d’attention. Le personnel a été au top du début à la fin, toujours souriant, disponible et bienveillant. Nous avons passé des jours inoubliables, dans un cadre magnifique, plein de charme et d’authenticité. Les enfants comme moi avons adoré chaque moment. Tout était réuni pour un séjour parfait : le confort, la beauté du riad, la chaleur de l’accueil et l’ambiance apaisante. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe du Riad Laaroussa pour ces souvenirs superbes que nous garderons longtemps en mémoire. ??

Le Riad Laaroussa est un véritable bijou niché au c?ur de la médina de Fès. Magnifique, calme et plein de charme, tout y est pensé pour un moment de calme entre les différentes parties du riad. La piscine, légèrement à l’écart du patio principal, est un vrai havre de fra?cheur. La terrasse et les nombreux petits coins où l’on peut s’installer pour boire un thé ou prendre un repas créent une atmosphère paisible et intime. Le personnel est absolument adorable, attentionné, discret et toujours prêt à aider. Le propriétaire, d’une grande gentillesse, donne d’excellents conseils sur ce qu’il faut faire à Fès. Sa vision de la ville correspond exactement à la mienne : il faut se laisser porter, profiter, se perdre dans la médina… mais aussi prendre le temps de savourer le calme du riad. C’est ma seconde fois ici, et le charme opère toujours autant. Un lieu où l’on se sent vraiment bien.

OUTSTANDING!!!! To a person the staff were exceptional-- personable, helpful, humorous, anticipating what we might need from shade to a mint tea. The finest staff I have met at any accommodation I've stayed at; they clearly want to make every traveler feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and unique. There are many smaller common areas to relax in hidden throughout the Riad. The rooftop is a fabulous place to relax, enjoy breakfast, an afternoon lemonade and dinner as the sun sets. The Hamman was excellent. I cannot imagine a better place to stay while in Fez.

A fabulously restored Riad in the medina. One of a few with a pool. Has quite a design vibe to it. You won’t go far wrong staying there. Our room (Green Suite) was amazing though slightly blighted by tourists peering through the windows as it’s on the found floor overlooking the garden/central courtyard. Breakfast was OK but a bit samey, with the “fresh fruit” consisting of a meagre few pieces of apple and melon. Think thy could do better bearing in mind all the wonderful fruit available in the medina. Dinner was reasonable quality and we took advantage of eating in for 3 nights rather than venturing out at night. Again menu fairly limited but this is in common with other restaurants generally in Morocco. Alcohol is served which is rarer than I had imagined. We did have a couple of service issues. I did find it odd that having booked a table for dinner on our first night and spa treatments months before arriving, the manager asked me to move the times of both for reasons that weren’t explained. They did honour the bookings in the end but I was left feeling like I was the one at fault! Then when we wanted to book dinner more spontaneously for the other 2 nights we were greeted with sucking of lips….need to check with the chef etc. We agreed on one night to eat at 6.30 to assist the kitchen but restaurant was quiet. All a bit odd. So if you want to eat in book at the time of room reservation and reconfirm nearer the time!

Un riad extraordinaire voire féerique !!! Je n'ai pas les mots pour remercier tout le personnel de Laaroussa. Je vais citer dans un premier temps Ottoman et Rita qui travaillent avec leurs c?urs pour ce riad, ils ont été au petit soins pour mon mari et moi. Ils ont facilité notre séjour. Cependant c'est tout le personnel qui se donne corps et ames pour rendre le séjour d'une qualité ultime. Merci pour ces moments de magie. Riad où on se sent chez nous. Nous reviendrons certainement.

I thought the hotel manager was lovely and helpful. ?The dinner on the rooftop was excellent. ?My objection was that the Riad was dark and walking up five flights of stairs to my room was a bit of a haul.

We stayed 3 nights in the Terrace suite. These were the final days of a 6 week holiday and we picked the perfect location to chill out prior to making our way home. The room is very stylish which a super comfy bed and plenty of space to stretch out. The staff were lovely from the minute we were picked up by the porter all the way until we checked out and were helped back to our car. There is a very calm, serine atmosphere throughout the Riad with a particular highlight being met by Paul the turtle during check-in and the locally made embroidered slippers which have become our #1 memento of our time is Fes. We particularly appreciated their ecologic approach to consumables in the room (no plastic or disposable containers) and their preference for a one time tip at check-out if you chose that gets shared out between all the staff. They also happily booked a Medina tour, city car tour and airport transfer for us.
