It’s a beautiful place… Close to the centro of Oaxaca. The room is very clean, they clean the room every day. I really enjoyed my time spending there.

This little pink hotel in an absolute gem!!! Wonderful, relaxing courtyard, really comfortable beds, close enough to walk to everything but away from the crowds and the noise. I felt very secure and safe and the staff were really kind, friendly and helpful. It’s across the street from a lovely park and every kind of food you could ever want is within walking distance. Really pleased with my visit to Oaxaca and this lovely little retreat at Rosamate ??

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and clean, and I appreciated that they accommodated our request for rooms with terraces next to each other. The courtyard was beautiful—bright pink and perfect for Instagram! I don’t think I’d stay here again next time I’m in Oaxaca, however, for a few reasons: (1) The location was a bit of a walk from the main square. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, but it would have been nice to be more centrally located. (2) I didn’t like that we couldn’t come and go without being buzzed in and out at the gate. Safety is paramount, so I get it, but I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I didn’t get my own key to the main entrance. (3) The shower was awful. The “hot” water never got more than lukewarm, which is not an issue I’ve ever had in any hotel, from the most remote guesthouse to fancy resorts. The rainfall shower seems to spray everywhere but directly down. On top of that, the rainfall shower is the only option, so if you’re someone who doesn't wash their hair every day, remember to bring your own shower cap. All in all it was a good stay despite these minor inconvenience.

We stayed in Casa,Rosamate the week after Christmas. By the photos, I was expecting a cute house. When we arrived, we were pleasingly surprised: the common spaces were wide and pleasing, offering different textures and mini environments, all of them very pleasant. I loved spending time on the hammocks, and walking barefoot on the sand. There is a little Cafe that offers basics for breakfast or lunch. The rooms are very cute , clean and vary in size. Some have a sofa area, some not. Mine overlooked the yard and had a direct access from and to it. Service was great. There was always some one to help us with what we needed. 24 hrs door person. Walking distance to cute and historic areas. And easy access to taxis if you need one.
