Wir waren zu viert im Ruhija Community Rest Camp und bezogen zwei Doppelzimmer. Die Zimmer waren sehr klein und leider fanden wir eine Larve sowie Mausdreck im Bett. Das Wasser zum Duschen musste zuerst aufgekocht werden. Wir wurden jeweils informiert, wann die warme Dusche parat war. Strom und Wlan gab es nur an der Rezeption und funktionierte nicht immer. Das Essen war fein und die Bedienung in Ordnung. Es handelt sich um eine sehr einfache Unterkunft mit abenteuerlichem Flair.

We loved our stay at Ruhija Community Rest Camp. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the monkey running on the roof and the balcony were an added bonus. Celia, the manager, looked after us so well, as well as the rest of the friendly staff. The restaurant is a great place to relax in the evenings when the campfire is going. Charging and wifi is only available from 7pm in the restaurant, but it was a nice opportunity to be disconnected during our stay. Would definitely stay again on our next visit!

Cylia is a wonderfull and warm person with a huge hart. We stayed only for one night during our Rwanda/Uganda trip. Evertyhing is honnest. Do no expect the luxury like in a western hotel. Elektricity to charge your phone is verdaan 1900-2200 when the generator is on. There is a light in the room and bathroom who is always workshop. Hot water for showering is on demand but is availbele. Cylia arranged the community tour (orphannage home, batwa pygmees, local culture) Food was honnest and basic. I advise a 4x4 to get there( 1u30 thrue the forest, roads where good when we went but a bit bumpy)
