Although I was initially concerned about staying in a room with a shared bathroom, my worries dissipated after noting the high bathroom/bedroom ratio (no waiting required), as well as, how exceptionally clean the bathrooms were. Our bedroom was small but comfortable, perfect for a one night stay -- it reminded me of a childhood sleepover at a friend's house. The Inn is conveniently located downtown, close to shops and restaurants. 4 stars only as cost of room should reflect shared bathroom - although I would stay again, it was still slightly jarring having to walk through a common hallway to access the bathroom in the middle of the night.

We used to go to the Saltspring Inn pretty regularly but it just feels like they've given up. I know the place has been for sale for a while but it used to be generally good. The last couple of times I've been in there (not by choice), the food has been really lacking. It always seems expensive for the low quality that you get.

Stayed at the Inn last week for few night for meeting , very convenient location in the village with two floor English historic Inn , not your 5 stars resort , for short stay good enough for me , friendly front staff fast check in , maybe off season and week day so quiet thought out the building , large comfortable room comfy bedding and clean bath room with hot shower , good enough for a small town , restaurant on site ( open 11 am ) enjoyable stay for three days . P.S Inn is on the main road , high season can be noisy )

This is a very nicely maintained old building. It's spotlessly clean and room had a great bed. I noted fans sitting in the hallway and suspect it might be very warm on hot days, but with daytime highs in the 60F range, it was very pleasant with the window open. The owner was very accommodating on arrival time and securing bicycle. The great restaurant conveniently located downstairs is a plus.

Staff was really friendly and informative. We stayed overnight in the Deluxe Queen room. The room was very clean and we were happy to have our own bathroom. The bathroom lighting is very dim which made it challenging to shave (husband) or apply makeup. Also note that is was 15°C (~65F) and the room was almost too warm. There is no air conditioning. We did open the window. We would not stay here in the summer, the room would be too hot. The hotel is located on a busy street, so was noisy until about 10:30. Great location for walking to the shops and the Saturday market.

The location is excellent; right in the center of Ganges! We booked the room with private ensuite and it was wonderful. There is a fire place and a great view of the harbour. The staff at reception were excellent and cocktails and meals at the Inn also wonderful. We will definitely be back!
