Room: entrance room floor of our suite was dirty, but the rest of the room was great. Service: Excellent Breakfast: Friendly staff, made what we wanted. Eg: Dosa Dinner: Food very good, but not exceptional. We ate here two nights. Feel: Exceptional. Fantastic Palace hotel. Retains the historic feel. Durbar Hall breathtaking. Location: 1.5 hours drive from Jaipur city; difficult at night, but well worth the drive. Pool: excellent atmosphere and clean(lower pool). A must stay if visiting Rajasthan.

Enchanting place. Must ask first a guided tour of the palace. Amazingly preserved. A fairy tale luxury stay . We were awarded a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Splendid view. All the staff were very helpful and wishing to make our stay a special one.

Though we booked the Suite & another room adjoins with a private sit out— expensive but in our opinion worth it. An excellent property- an hour& a half drive from the town of Jaipur— the experience was worth it. Our 2 little granddaughters were treated like princesses. Excellent breakfasts included, service attentive at all levels, lots of steps but a lift did take us up to our rooms. Quiet & self contained- a wonderful experience. A camel ride to the Samode Bagh- tea in the lovely gardens—-If one can afford the steep rates— Samode Palce &surroundings worth every penny!

Our Samode Palace experience did not start off Royally. Unlike the warm welcomes of other high end hotels during our time in India our introduction at the front desk was a cold one. A serious mustached *** awkwardly requested our passports promptly followed by US election questioning. Then stating something to the effect of "Lucky you because we are upgrading our room." He then read off of a paper about the typical information of any hotel. We were all extremely put off by this guy. After we were finished dealing with this guy we were pondering leaving and reached out to our agent. *At the front desk later we also had some other issues with the coordination of a photoshoot it was resolved through our agent and who I can assume was the Samode GM. Once settled we saw a staff member in the main courtyard and engaged him to give us a palace tour. This staff member, Sahoo was an absolute delight. With an excitement to him he walked us through the palace explaining history and the utility of the areas. He tried all of his English on us and I tried all of my terrible Hindi on him. For our time there he remained at our call everyday after 2pm when he started work making sure we were being taken care of. I knew I could engage with him if we needed anything! He was a genuinely caring human, this was next level care for us. I wish we could of brought Sahoo ***** for the rest of our India trip! The restaurant group was also fantastic. I will probably forget a name or 2 and I am sorry but the Food and beverage manager, Sundarban, Subha and Gaju were all incredible. I hope I am not forgetting names! The WHOLE crew at the restaurant was great! We even had a cooking demo that was one of the highlights of my wives and our friends India experience. The second and third night they had a special set-up in an upper area for our dinner. It was beautiful. Sahoo and the dining team really treated us right. We left so impressed and they set the India hospitality bar very high.

We discovered Samode palace by fluke online. The picture of an infinity pool nestled in between Aravalli hill range did the trick. We instantly made a booking and within minutes hailed a cab to get to this place. It took us little more than 1 hr to get here from Jaipur. To discover a diamond, you need to patiently navigate through the coal mine. This palace is a time machine. It takes you back to the royal, magnificent , historic, larger than life era. The grand entrance greets you with manicured gardens, blooming colourful flowers and vintage cars. The central courtyard with its green garden chairs and marble fountain makes you feel you're a part of some historic period film. The view of the mosaic pool from behind the reception is amazing. The guided tour of the palace treats your eyes with exquisite halls, intricate mirror work, timeless paintings and mysterious hallways. Kudos to owners of the palace not only for restoring its architecture but also for maintaining such a vast expansive property. Every corner of the palace is decorated with rustic artwork, pitaraas, huge pots and antique furniture. Needless to say, the staff members are wonderful and the food is tasty. The infinity pool and the jacuzzi nestled amongst Aravalli hills have so much to tell you. All you need to do is listen. Its a nice deck to meditate. There is zero noise / water / air pollution out here. Now that's like hitting a jackpot for urban citizens used to their metro lifestyles. There are few places to explore outside: samode bagh, Shiv temple, village visit etc. It was difficult bidding a farewell to the palace which has so many eye candied - breath taking - spectacular sights to offer. Its a sin to visit this place without your loved ones. You will feel super guilty not bring your parents or best friends *****.

My stay at Samode Palace was nothing short of extraordinary. This heritage property offers a truly regal experience, with beautiful views that take your breath away. The vintage cars on display added a touch of old-world charm that perfectly complements the historical ambiance of the palace. The gardens were impeccably maintained, providing a serene and picturesque setting to relax and unwind. The pool area was another highlight, offering a perfect spot to cool off and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The heritage rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, making me feel like royalty. Every detail, from the decor to the amenities, was carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. The staff at Samode Palace were incredibly hospitable, always ready to assist with a warm smile. I highly recommend this stunning heritage property to anyone looking to experience the grandeur and elegance of a bygone era. I can't wait to return!

This is a very special place to stay. It’s a 15th century palace in the countryside. They really aren’t any words that describe the Samode palace. The only two things I can say are that when I showed people my photos, the invariable reaction was “you stayed there”? Nobody believed you could stay somewhere so spectacular. The rough guide to India says that if it’s at all possible you should ensure you stay at least sometime in the Symone, and I couldn’t agree more.

The most amazing stay we have ever had! We stayed for an anniversary in a deluxe room. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Had we known how nice it is we definitely would have altered our itinerary. The spa is amazing, we had an exquisite couples massage. The restaurant staff is top notch, they even made us an anniversary cake! The only potential downside is filming, maybe try to stay when there isn’t filming going in. It makes noise at night and some areas you can’t see.
