Everything about the Sanctuary Palms is first class.The bathroom was spotless, the shower and bath were great, aesthetically top notch, up to date, and perfect in use. The bedroom, the kitchen, the living room, the balcony, the view, the convenience, the access: tens around!

Perfect location & base for our first trip to Bay of Islands . Paihia has a great selection of bars & restaurants and Sanctuary Palms is walking distance from the main centre. Check in was straight forward, the quality of the accommodation was high comprising a lounge /kitchenette with views out over the bay, a luxurious bathroom with spa bath & a very comfortable king size bed. Would definitely stay here again

Wow! Beautiful apartment exceeded expectations and reviews. Clean, beautiful, private, quiet. Every detail was thoughtful right down to bathroom amenities. Lovely view from the deck of the bay. Comfortable bed and linens. Perfect for a couple get away with easy access to town and activities.

Fantastic property, spectacular views, great owners. The flat was lovely, the spa bath was delightful and the kitchen was perfect equipped. AC was perfect, bed was comfy. Lovey stay, beautiful area. Recommended!

Very well designed, very clean, and well equipped. Bathroom and shower were very nice and spacious. Bed was very soft and comfy. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone. And very close in proximity to the town. One downside were stairs upon entry.

Lovely, spacious apartment. Very convenient to Paihia and with views over bay. Easy to access Paihia ferries, and walk or shuttle to Waitangi treaty ground. Be aware the property is on a steep hill, so walking up is tiring at the end of a day out. However, we thought the beautiful view worth it, with balcony to appreciate the panorama. Only negative, was although there were a few basic provisions in the fridge, a full pint of milk rather than jug would have been appreciated as we stayed for 5 nights.

Wonderful place to stay. Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it).

Very nice self-service apartment We stayed in the "Moulin Rouge" apartment, which was a very well appointed self-service unit with a wonderful view to the Bay of Islands at Pahia.

Lovely location, high up so a nice view down to the bay. Steep, steep drive up to the property and parking was a bit tight. Small work surface area in the kitchen part but we coped. Enormous spa bath, more like a swimming pool. Very comfortable bed

We were in the Pacifica apartment and it lived up to expectations. The decor was a cut above the norm, with such detail taken to enhance the 'pacific' theme. Everything was so clean, the tiled bathroom was beautiful, with a huge walk in shower area and a two person spa bath. The full kitchen (not a kitchenette) was so well appointed. Granite surfaces etc. The lounge and dining areas, both cozy and high spec, looked out onto the bush, with the sea view to the side. Lots of bird song. The road winds up behind the town area, and while it is steep we had no problem walking back up .... and we are not young. If you don't think you could make it --- drive. The hosts were very nice, helpful, and offered advice about local places to eat. We liked the fact it was aimed at couples, with under 14's no allowed. So no screaming kids, very peaceful. The car park for this apartment is not under cover, but if that is an issue for unloading or loading bags etc, park next to the entrance door which is under cover, then park your vehicle. It isn't rocket science. This is one of the best places we have stayed at, and we have done a lot of travel. I am not sure why this lovely place received some bad press in some other reviews.
