Checked into hotel late Saturday evening had a lovely meal in the restaurant we informed staff that we would be leaving early in the morning to catch the ferry so they took our breakfast order that evening and had our breakfast ready for us coming down in the morning although it was a short stay I would definitely return and recommend also the hotel staff were excellent

Lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome ?? great choice and also vegan menu available.Elin was our server and was really helpful and friendly ?? great service.

We have visited here in the past and always had an enjoyable experience. As we entered and waited at the desk to be seated, as requested on the sign, we were ignored by numerous staff. When we managed to speak to someone we were abruptly told to find a seat anywhere. We were not given any menus or told to order at the bar. Again, when asked if we had to go to the bar we were met by another rude response. The coffee arrived fairly promptly and was hot. However the tables were sticky. I’m not sure whether we will return after this disappointing and rude reception.

We went for a drink and snack and some ice cream. We arrived at 1640, when i asked about snacks, was told not for 20 minutes, but we have crisps. when i asked about ice cream, the reply was not for 20 minutes. We could have spent quite a bit of money, but clearly they weren't interested. Shame really

New Spring menu really nice Good choice 2nd time eating today Lunchtime was fab with our family The Reuben sandwiches were very tasty From the evening menu i had the prawn and cod curry which was full of flavour! Our server Helen was very pleasant as usual! Thankyou SMH

Wonderful spontaneous booking with Sandy Mount House this evening - been many times before and the quality continues. Served by Helen this evening who was very attentive and helpful. Food was excellent alongside service - highly recommend!

Used to love coming to this hotel but it's looking very tired now. Upon arrival, we were greeted by rubbish on the path outside the door that leads to reception...bits of food waste and plastic wrapping. The towels in the room were looking very worn... greyish in colour, and they were smelly. We stayed in Ocean, and the shower is a serious health and safety hazard. The dial that controls the water temperature came off in your hand, and it was not working properly, so there was scalding hot water coming out of the shower. Took about 10 minutes to work out how to put the dial back on properly so that a safe water temperature could be obtained. Breakfast was disappointing, to say the least. I did tell the Manager on duty, but he didn't really appreciate the seriousness of the shower issue. He just said that during the winter months, the maintenance team will put right any defects ! Personally, I wouldn't stay here again.

Delicious Sunday lunch here today. Roast Beef and Vegetarian roast with all the trimmings cooked to perfection - thank you. All delivered to us by the delightful Elin - thank you too! There is a buzzy feel to the place, friendly, vibrant and attentive staff.

A restaurant with rooms. Poor arrival. Scruffy. Nice restaurant and bar area. Very busy popular place. Room ok, bed comfortable, shower power good, but housekeeping very bad (toilet not flushed, so assume not cleaned, wash basin not cleaned. Vacuuming poor. Security poor (keys left out for you to help yourself to anyone's room. Breakfast disappointing: no yoghurt - there's a shop up the road. Cooked was better than the buffet. Members of staff all nice and pleasant but most are lacking training and inept. For ￡257 a night inc breakfast very bad value for money. Obviously there isn't a lot of choice or it wouldn't get away with it. I complained on departure, constructively, but no follow up. Surprisingly they give you a tray which is left outside your room early with a croissant, a vacuum flask of coffee and water (which smells of coffee) orange juice and jam. Why? For people who have to dash off to the ferry at nearby Holyhead we assume. We won't go back. But it could be wonderful if run properly.
