酒店位置离火车站很近，柜台人员服务态度也很好，整体空间很乾净整洁，但房间隔音不太好，白天八点左右开始有人打扫就很明显能听到声音，但晚上基本上大家都很安静，整间饭店只有五间房间，不会太杂乱

Sam Polo Star was a very charming hotel. The room was stunningly modern and clean. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend Sam Polo Star!

Hotel or hostel?
A very unpleasant and disappointed stay.
AVOID this hotel if you want a perfect Venice trip:
1. WAIT FOR 30 MINS FOR CHECKIN: checkin time is strict between 4pm and 7pm and there is a heads-up that if you arrive after 7pm there will be penalty. I arrived after 4pm and found no one at the lobby (or I should call it living room as it is more like an apartment). Actually I could only wait outside the gate with the passcode as there is no one answering the bell, and no passcode was shared before my arrival.
2. GOT CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA 10 EUROS: the host who was a middle aged guy at checkin was very rude and saying ah you are from xx you must be very rich and I need to charge you more... and 10 seconds later an extra 10 euros needs to be paid for the towel and sheet. Reason is for sustainability but when i mentioned that I brought my own sheet and towel which could save the earth more, the 10 euros would be charged anyway... this is not stated at trip.com nor mentioned by the hotel in the welcoming message.
3. WRONG PLATFORM: the host insisted that my booking was from ******* while I showed him my trip.com booking, and he still kept saying if you book from trip.com it would be better? What's wrong with this hotel?
4. NOT SOUND PROOF AT ALL: my room is along the street and I could hear clearly the sound of footsteps and luggage rolling. Also the door was not tightly closed and made loud sound whenever the front door of the apartment was opened/closed, which made it very annoying when you were trying to sleep
I do not recommend this hotel and hope this review will be able to help more to avoid such unpleasant experience.

Simple, quiet and very reasonable
Simple, quiet and reasonably priced accommodation. Very nice hotel service and a wonderful, again quiet location. Close to everything, but tucked away nicely.
We had just arrived and needed a place to wind down and this place did just that.

This is smaller BnB in the heart of Venice. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's Venice so of course the area around it is beautiful. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk away, St. Marc's square is about 25 minutes walk.
