Just returned from a two week stay. We had a wonderful time. Total pleasure and relaxation. We loved the hotel and the position. The staff were fantastic. Very good food and plenty of variety. Recommend you take your own coffee and Marmalade. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Excellent housekeeping. Restaurant very good, fantastic atmosphere, lots of entertainment. Poole area, shaded. This was ideal for us. Lots of returning guests. We fully intend to book again for next year.

After quite a long transfer from Manohar airport it was a pleasure to reach Sao Domingos in the more peaceful south Goa. Edwin and his friendly staff were all lovely, nothing to much trouble even when the AC broke down in the room it was fixed on the day the room was cleaned spotless everyday the waiting staff at the Goan village where we ate breakfast were all very friendly and efficient. The pool area was a nice place to relax with beautiful plants and trees all around. The reception staff were very helpful for any queries we had. We stayed one night in the Western Ghats at Wildernest and also went on a houseboat for a night ***** the Siolim river which we both recommend, being based at Sao Domingos in the more the peaceful South Goa was the perfect choice for our first time in Goa

This was an again an amazing holiday at Edwin’s they are like a big family. All the staff and management make you feel special. We have already booked for next year. The breakfast and the restaurant food are the best service in Cavelossim and the people in the whole village are amazing.

We have been staying in and around Cavelossim for over 30 years (bar the Covid Years). We have stayed here before and have known the family and most of their staff for a long time. We have been absent from Goa since Covid and returned this year in the hopes that it was still as good as it had been, it isn't... it's even better!!. What really makes Sao Domingos is the "feel". It's very much like being part of it, being at home with it. Everyone from Edwin the owner, down to the lads who look after the rooms are just excellent, friendly easy to talk to and certainly give the impression that they are because they want to. The rooms may be bit basic, but very comfortable, but that's a reflection of the cost, it's what you should expect, and if you don't agree go across the road to one of the more expensive hotels at five times the cost, where you will find colourful Indian weddings every week whic may exclude you from the hotel facilities. The rooms are cleaned, towels replaced etc every day, and if you have any small issues just ask, 99 times out of a hundred it will soon be resolved. It's a bit of a venue for expats and mostly of a slightly senior nature, and though we usually avoid expat communities when away it has to be said that it just works her. The majority are returnees and though it has been five years since last we came, there were lots of clients and staff who we immediately recognised. There's live music which though a little noisy sometimes ceases around 11pm. I would like to mention and thank so many people working here individually by name but this review is already too long so I won't . I will mention Hazel on reception who has such great organisational skills, thank you. The accompanying restaurant, Goan Village is also excellent but perhaps a separate review is needed for that. This year was an excellent 3 weeks, wish we had booked for four, but now we have for next year. Thanks

Just returned from a glorious 3 weeks in Goa. Stayed at Edwin’s Lucianas hotel where we have been 4 times. As usual we were not disappointed as everything was excellent from the rooms being cleaned daily and clean towels. Bed was lovely and comfortable for good nights sleep. Restaurant was very good excellent service and bar staff amazing best Margaritas. Have already booked for next Christmas. Thank you Edwin and his right hand woman Hazel.

We were recommended the resort as others lied about the distance from the beach, this was perfectly placed within many bars, restaurants and many shops including pharmacy and supermarket. Staff were absolutely lovely from the moment we arrived and the breakfast which was just across the road were also very welcoming and super friendly. Our room was large with loads of stuff range but the curtains didn’t fit the window openings so wore eye masks to help sleep. Highly recommended from us as a cheaper hotel destination. Beach less than 10mins walk with lovely beach and various beach shacks

Отличный, уютный отель. без лишнего пафоса, но достойный. заметно что за отелем и номерами следят, ремонтируют, подкрашивают, подмазывают. Бассейн хорош, ухожен. Уборка в номере каждый день, кондиционер и вентилятор работают исправно. чайник, холодильник имеются. Видеонаблюдение везде, сейф можно арендовать на ресепшн. Завтраки простые но вкусные:омлет, тосты, джем, кофе, чай, сок. Рядом кафе на любой вкус, магазины, рынок одежды и фруктов. До пляжа минут 10 пешком..Минусы есть конечно, но незначительны. Хотя кому как.

We booked through Goa Experience who recommended this hotel describing it as simple accommodation. In hindsight I probably would have opted for somewhere a bit more luxurious, but we enjoyed our stay. A ten minute walk to one of the best beaches we have ever been to, Sao Domingo’s has a certain charm about it, reminiscent of the Exotic Marigold Hotel, very popular with retired Brits who return every year. We stayed in a room in Lucianos with a pleasant balcony. The rooms are generally clean and well serviced daily, however there was a horrible smell from the drain in the bathroom which seemed to build up overnight. The bed was very hard, but reception arranged for a mattress topper which helped. They also provided a hairdryer when requested. Food in the restaurant was very good, and breakfast was a pleasant experience every day with excellent table service from the friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool was not very clean but a nice place to sit and relax in the shade. The live music in the evening was enjoyed by the majority of people from an older generation staying there but was not generally to our taste

Knew exactly what to expect, hence our 3rd visit to Sao Domingos. Edwin is spot on! He knows everyone and everything in the area. If you want something he will sort it out. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day. Clean towels everyday. Good size bathroom. TV. Fridge. Kettle. Balcony. Lovely breakfast included. Restaurant is fabulous-wonderful choice and delicious meals served. Bar is a busy area, great for meeting and making friends. Live entertainment almost every night. Music every night. Pool area has areas of shade great for those very hot days. Pool is cool and clean. Finally, the staff. They are wonderful. Friendly, hardworking. Helpful and considerate. They become more than just staff, they become friends. I will be looking forward to seeing them again. Cavelossim is a lovely place to stay. Superb river cruises. Glorious beaches. So many places nearby to visit. And don’t forget the sunrise ?? and sunset - magnificent! Thank you India ???? x

This related to Edwin's Goan Village restaurant - cant find a separate entry for that. This is our favourite - partly because it is more open to the fresh air, the ambiance and Edwin's warm welcome. An extensive menu, music on at least 3 evenings, friendly pleasant service. What is there not to like!
