My 2 night stay at the Barrocal Hotel was nothing short of magical. The property itself is magnificent, impeccably maintained, and exudes a charming farmhouse vibe that makes it feel both comfortable and livable. The design is thoughtfully curated, blending rustic style with modern comforts perfectly. The pool area and outdoor dining facilities truly make you feel like you’re living in the middle of a vineyard, surrounded by the stunning landscape. Each room is equipped with every amenity you might need, and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. A special shout-out to Patricia in the boutique who was extraordinarily helpful. She took the time to educate us about the local wines and artisan products available in the store, making our experience all the more enriching. Het passion for the region truly enhanced our stay. Overall, Barrocal Hotel is a true dream destination. It offers a wonderful way to experience the countryside of Portugal, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone looking to escape and immerse themselves in the beauty of this area.

We saw the Conde Naste review of this hotel and decided this was a place we wanted to go during our trip to Portugal in October as a newly empty nester couple. It was everything and more we could have hoped for. There were three big reasons why: 1) the staff, 2) the property 3) the surrounding area. The attention to detail is special here. Starting with the staff that works here. We drove up and Daniel took us to the reception and they vacuumed and cleaned our car as they do all cars. As we checked in, we sat down as they brought us a welcome wine and we slowly walked through the hotel and they walked us to our beautiful room. We had small pastries and refreshing water waiting for us. Miguel the bartender, knew peoples names and made suggestions and was attentive. Every single person we encountered that worked there was delightful. They had a clear pride to work there and knew what a special place the property was. The property was amazing. Our room was bright and big with character with the most comfortable beds I have been on. We rode bikes and explored the property as well as took olive tasting and wine tasting sessions. Nuno and Martin were experts and grew up with a lot of history in both wine and olives. To see how both are processed on the property was special. What a treat that was for both sessions. Finally, we loved going to Monsaraz and the surrounding area. We ate at Sem Fin and went to the pottery village. We could easily have stayed longer and were very sad to leave. This is a place we would very much like to return.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The rooms are sophisticated and casual simultaneously. The staff is professional, highly competent, and friendly. The food is one of the best we ate in Portugal - and that is a high bar. Do not miss out on the pool. Beautiful from start to finish.

Wahnsinnig tolle Architektur in sch?ner Landschaft. Für uns war es eines der sch?nsten Landhotels. Die Besitzer haben zusammen mit Portugals Stararchitekten ein Gesamterlebnis geschaffen.
