Under Renovation but nice soft matressses
NON PROFESSIONAL RECEPTION, WAS FORMER NICE HOTEL, NOW UNDER FULL RENOVATION/RECONSTRUCTION!
BUT NICE MANAGER, NICE DIALOGUES, KINDLY GAVE ME LATE CHECKOUT FOR FREE, COMFORTABLE MATRESS, OVERALL ALL GOOD!

Hotel was under remodeling which was naturally not advertised during booking, so there was a general look and feel of dust everywhere. There was a general feel of uncleanliness in the family rooms I paid for. The bathroom has an unpleasant smell. The bedsheet was not clean when we walked in but they replaced it right away. The restaurant food was just average, not recommended even for coffee (they offer Nescafé which is a pity considering Kumbakonum degree coffee is amazing). Better to go to nearby Balaji Bhavan for meals.
Staff was fine, professional. Location is good. There’s a separate shared accommodation for drivers.

Enjoyed my stay very much. I recommend this as an awesome place to stay while in Kumbakonam.
