Positive - Good size rooms, comfortable beds, adequate parking.
Not so good - Bathroom needed a deep clean, dust and mould collecting around shower tray. Towels have seen better days and could do with replacing.
Breakfast was cooked to order which was nice however not all items advertised were available which let it down.
The room & bed was comfortable, spacious and great views over the river Wyre. Check in was straight forward and very quick with easy parking.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Service wasn’t great. No smiles and it looked like all the waiting staff were fed up. Despite taking our orders promptly, our breakfasts came but with no tea that they had simply just forgotten about. Despite serving us our food, they didn’t notice there wasn’t anything to drink. Yet when we looked around everyone else got their tea or coffee before the food- so shows they are not attentive and just robotically serving. The food was ok but just average.
But all in all it was a comfortable stay and the pricing is competitve.
I liked the location for us as we were meeting up with family. It was clean. comfortable and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. For the price it was excellent.
However, I wouldn't say it was 'Deluxe' - the room was basic, the large armchair was a sofa bed so not particularly comfortable, it just didn't feel deluxe at all. It was standard and they should just advertise it as is. Dissapointed with that part but everything else was excellent.
2 night stay
Just a 2 night stay. Small room with a small bath room. Plenty drawers and hangers enough plug sockets but no usb outlets.
Breakfast is ok no more.
Restaurant food is very very good and not silly prices.
Overall we loved our stay small room but short of nothing with good but small shower.
We will stay again but the restaurant is worth a visit
A gorgeous hotel! Staff very welcoming and helpful lovely meal in the restaurant! Good parking facilities and very clean! Lovely view of the river from our room.
