Great little village inn in a cracking part of the country. The view from the car park is wonderful. The landlord and landlady were really chatty and friendly. Tasty meals and a good-sized room. Can't fault it on any account.

We had a good stay in a clean and quiet room (even with a storm outside). All staff were friendly and helpful. The young lady chef Lyndsey, had started our breakfast slightly earlier than usual to accommodate our travel plans, which was appreciated, as was the delicious cooked breakfast, good quality ingredients, well cooked and served on a hot plate - something many luxury hotels still do not do, so the food is cold in a short time.

A lovely country pub, with excellent, beautifully cooked food. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. Very dog friendly - we were able to have our Labrador with us when we ate in the bar. Bedroom quite small, but manageable. Situated in a really beautiful area, and within easy reach of Richmond, which is an interesting, historical town with lots to see and do.

The owner was quite a character full of life and interesting to talk to,although we only stayed one night,based on that stay we would be happy to have stayed longer.the landlady’s cooking was very good and she to was very sociable

A lovely village pub,the hosts where very welcoming, couldn't do enough for you and the food was very good especially the breakfast.

Quaint Country Inn
Mark and Lyndsay were excellent hosts. This was my favorite stay in England. The pub is situated in a small community and you could definitely feel that vibe. A local gentleman told us to wake up with the sunrise and it was well worth seeing it come up over the valley with the birds heading out for their day. The food was absolutely delicious (we had the pizza and breakfast the next morning.) I can’t recommend this place enough.

Overnight stay en route to Scotland
Food and service was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff helpful and friendly.
Room was comfortable but could be a bit too cosy for anyone of larger build. En suite bathroom was definitely a bit of a squeeze.

Absolutely gorgeous location; it’s a bit off the main road but so beautiful on top of a hill in a small hamlet; lovely people and great food; great for dogs with nice areas to walk, we’ll definitely be back.

Lyndsey and Mark were welcoming and friendly hosts. The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for in a great location.

Lovely country retreat
We booked in for one night as we were attending a friends wedding. Lovely welcome as we went in and shown to our room. Had a drink from the bar before the Taxi collected us & took us to the wedding venue. Breakfast was lovely and made to order.
Would definitely stay again.
