What a well maintained guest house with wonderful people. The views are simply to die for. Almost didn't want to leave

A truly fantastic stay with stunning views and beautiful electic boutique decor.The light and use of colour where exceptional. The staff were amazing, warm attentive and incredibly helpful. It felt like home away from home.

Excellent location with stunning views of the mountains and valleys. A winding road takes you up to the property, a vehicle is required as this property is not suitable to walk down and up to the main road just past the security gate. Eclectic interior and the outdoor space is quiet and serene. Our party had 5 rooms and each was decorated differently with nice views of the mountains and valleys. Breakfast was served in the dining room and was okay. Staff seemed reserved and polite. Good value. Clean and well maintained property. Good walking around the rear of the property and a vineyard. Very quiet area. Many wineries (Wine Farms) and good restaurants are easily accessible by car from this property.

I recently had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Skyview Manor. The manor overlooks beautiful views. It's cozy, comfortable and has all you will need. The staff was welcoming and preheated my room. I would definitely stay there again.

While the staff were welcoming, the room was less so. Half of the patio furniture outside was broken and the rest hadn't been cleaned in a few days. They were struggling with the wi-fi and so there was only one spot outside where you could get wi-fi for a few minutes. There was no wi-fi in the bedroom or lounge area. The shower head had fallen slightly resulting in an "angled" shower, though the bathroom itself was clean. However, the worst part about the stay was that the beds had old, spring mattresses which were uncomfortable. And on top of that, the movement of tables and chairs in the dining room above kept us up until 1am. The room also smells of mold. They could have done more for the price we paid.

PROS: The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. CONS: While I cannot say the staff were unfriendly at all, they were totally indifferent to us and the other guests. They seemed to just be getting on with their own lives and looked a bit confused at being asked basic questions relating to our stay. The room was very small, and everything outside of the tiny room was part of a shared communal space. The bedsheets were stained with what looked like coffee. Looking at what you get when compared to the high cost of the booking it sort of doesn't make sense at all. We also opted in for a breakfast (charged at R180 per person). Breakfast (for just 2 of us) involved a full pot of tea and a full pot of coffee, some streaky bacon, scrambled eggs, and an entire loaf of bread that seemed to have been warmed in the microwave despite there being a toaster in the kitchen. There was also a bowl of apples, but we weren't sure if that was ornamental or part of the breakfast. If you're just looking for a place to sleep after attending an event or wedding in the area it will do. but you're not going to get much else out of staying at Skyview Manor.

We recently hosted a wedding at Tokara and 14 faminly members stayed at Skyview Manor for 3 night. We found Faith and her team to really great in terms of looking after us and accommodating the needs of a large group of people. The accommodation and facilityies were really lovely and we will be returning.

We attended a wedding at Boschendal. an easy close drive from there to Skyview Manor. easy check-in, clean, comfy beds. Aircon was not working in 1 room on awarm night - this made it very muggy and difficult to sleep.

Beautiful location with views across the north of Stellenbosch and Banhoek Conservatory. Perfect for exploring the mountain biking and walking trails. Also a short uber from some stunning vineyards and 15minutes from Stellenbosch town. Accomodation was great, with really comfortable beds and super hot showers. Would definately book again??
