The location of the site is great with a wonderful (need to book in advance) pub 5 minutes walk away. The actual glamping accommodation was very small, the photos are good but make the place look lots bigger than it really is. No storage. It was fine for a short stay but I would not like to stay longer than 1 or maximum 2 nights.
We have just returned from a last minute weekend away at Slades Farm. We stayed in the Chicken Coop. It was our first experience of staying in a Shepherds Hut. We had a wonderful weekend. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with many thoughtful touches that made our stay a comfortable one. We briefly met Sarah, the owner, and she was very nice and gave us recommendations on where to visit and eat out if we wished too. We will definitely be returning!
Lovely little Glamping spot. The Shepards hut had everything you need for a pleasant stay. Lovely walks and a friendly pub within a 5 minute walk. Outdoor seating area and bbq within a peaceful setting. We bought the optional breakfast hamper which was filled with warm croissants and good quality sausages, bacon and eggs which was delivered to our door. We will definitely stay again.
We came to slades glamping 3 years ago during lockdown and stayed in the Shepard’s hut , we had such a wonderful stay and decided to come back . This time we stayed in the Daisy pod . It was smaller than I expected but had everything we needed , kitchen , bathroom somewhere to eat a meal ,plus some where to sleep. The Daisy pod had under floor heating and a radiator in the bathroom , so there was no fear of getting cold . In the kitchen was iron and ironing board all the crockery you would need plus utensils. Some milk was supplied with tea coffee and sugar . Also there for any ladies wanting a hair dryer that is even supplied. The pod was clean and tidy and tea towel and bathroom towels were supplied to use . Staff very helpful telling us local pubs , train stations and shops were not too far . Want to return and try out the other pods
This place was beautiful. The facilities were perfect for a short get away. Really thoughtful set up, with each pod placed nicely so you feel as though you have privacy. High standard for cleanliness, sufficient cooking materials, such a cute idea, would highly recommend.
What a beautiful little place . If you’re visiting longleat or somewhere in the vicinity it was perfect . This farmhouse has rooms that have been decorated to a very high standard with every amenity thought of for you’re stay , with a lovely breakfast too .If you want to do you’re own cooking they also have pods in the garden that are tiny houses with everything you need that are 5 star luxury !
Lovely peaceful few days spent at this idyllic spot in the Wiltshire countryside. Lots of walking opportunities for me and my four legged friend. Owners very helpful with yummy breakfast hampers delivered to your glamping pod.
We have just returned from a lovely and peaceful 3 night stay at Slades farm. Our room was gorgeous, extremely spacious, lots of storage, clean, elegant, country views and a fantastic sleep each night. Breakfast was hot and a huge choice, which is s always important for me as I don’t like the soul choice of an English breakfast in its various guises. The grounds were beautiful and he owners were lovely. We met the doggies on our arrival, they are super sweet and you would’nt know they were there . Thank you both for a lovely stay x
Lovely stay in the chicken coop hut - literally perfect. Wonderful location, great privacy, so clean and tidy and homely inside. Really nice area to visit and would come again definitely. - I visited solo for a mini break and loved it! Self-check in with a keypad on the hut with the keys inside once your emailed the code. I’d say definitely book for at least 2 nights and use the amazing surroundings to wind down. The hut has everything you need - crockery, tea, coffee, even a little complimentary glass bottle of milk. Lots of spare bits like toilet roll and toiletries. Only thing that was missing was some washing up liquid. Helpful homemade folder in the hut which details local food places/shops etc! The bed was very comfy, shower amazing, and the view from the bed - wow! And lovely heated floor/towel rails. Loved sitting out in the evenings for the fire pit which you can also barbecue on. The local farm shop in edrington was lovely for local food/drink bits. Short walk/drive of a few minutes. White Horse monument s bit further on - lovely views on the hill top. Definitely would come again as a treat. Thank you for the best glamping experience!
Booked into the Poppy Pod at Slades Farm for 1 night on 14th September as we were visiting Stonehenge the day after. We had never been glamping before but loved it. Pod was clean, and had all the amenities needed to make yourself comfortable. Welcome bottle of milk in the fridge too which was nice as well as tea/coffee. Sarah the owner was both polite and pleasant to deal with. There's also a welcome book in the pod which gives an overview on the working of the pod and also recommendations on local pubs and attractions which was helpful. Wifi is available in the pod and a tv showing Freeview channels. You can also opt to have breakfast delivered to your pod which you cook yourself. The 'big breakfast baps' set us both up prior to visiting Stonehenge. Shower was lovely and hot, and underfloor heating should you need it. Fire pits are available outside each pod and you can purchase the bits you need from Sarah.
