This hotel is alright for a one night stay.
Close enough to walk to the city and has parking included.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Room was well maintained and comfortable. Choice of TV channels was poor. Bathroom had brackets for toilet roll holder and soap dish but items were missing.
Breakfast was included but it didn't start until 8am and we were told nothing would be available until about 815am. We had to leave at 8am so had to miss breakfast as there is no early provision.
For one night it served its purpose.

It was convenient overnight stay and the staff and breakfast were very pleasant. The premises are well appointed. If there were shortcomings it's that the car park is very tight when it's busy, but at least there is free parking which is rare around here. The other is the bedroom dividing walls are tissue paper thin with no sound dampening so you can clearly hear every word of your neighbour's conversation and vice-versa (thankfully it just conversation!). But the poor chap rather did suffer from catarrh in the night, and because he suffered we all did! So in that respect... might as well have been in a dorm room not a ￡100 ensuite!

It was so cold in the room, the radiator was turned off, the towel rail in the bathroom was rusty and cold, the water in the shower was tepid. I asked at reception about the heating/water and the boiler was reluctantly turned on (I was told that it is turned off in the evenings), this meant that at 9.30pm I could turn on the radiator, but it only heated up to warm and it was too late and too cold to warm up the room. The water was still not hot. I finally got to sleep at 2am with a jumper on. The breakfast was disappointing. No fresh fruit (two slices of tinned grapefruit) a croissant that tasted as if it had come out of a supermarket multi pack, when you really want a flakey French pastry, and concentrated orange juice. The view from our room was a car park, right in front of the window, so you could not open the blinds. There was only the metal fittings from the loo roll holder in the bathroom, the toilet roll was on the floor. The carpet was dirty.

Lovely hotel, spacious room, on site parking. The hotel is on a main road and is a couple kms away from main Exeter shopping/sites; but still walkable for us for dining options on the river.

Great stop over on our way to Cornwall.
Nicely located to walk to Exeter old quay and cathederal.
Also within minutes of route into devon and cornwal an ideal stop over with a nice breakfast, to get you ready for the day.
Would definitely use again was clean and tidy and comfortable, all the staff were friendly and helpful

A good find in Exeter
Very nice hotel would appear to have been refurbished recently as high standard of finish and fixtures. Very welcoming receptionist and night porter very diligent.
Single room occupation was more than adequate for my stay with ensuite shower toiletries provided. Fan supplied for warm roof level room. Not many tv channels but adequate. WIFI Good. Breakfast excellently presented and cooked with fast service. Parking a little tight when all guests were in. good price Well done and thank you

A nice quaint hotel situated within close proximity of shopping, university and transportation. Unfortunately, there are no elevators/lifts to enhance accessibility for the elderly and the disabled. Additionally, if you have heavy luggage, you will be faced with carrying them up the stairs which can be labouring. Finally, the rooms are significantly smaller than advertised and the exterior images of the hotel are deceptive.

Room was very hot with only a fan to cool it down. The room was very clean but other areas of the hotel could be attended to a little better. The dining area was really nice and the breakfast was good for the money paid. Overall would recommend an overnight stay and would definitely use the hotel as a stop off point again.

Cleanliness was outstanding...
BUT
As a man approaching 75 , with a suitcase and rucksack, being placed on the second floor with no lift, or offer of assistance, was not good - this is not mentioned in the booking site publicity.
Also, the electrician who modernised the room was obviously having a joke !!
The ceiling light was not over the bed, nor was there a bedside light, reading impractical....
The small tv was positioned in a far corner, so you would need 20/20 vision to watch it !
The bathroom shaving unit was out of reach !
