We had an amazing time thanks to our surf instructors and guides, Faines (Finn) and Ansar – both incredibly welcoming and full of local knowledge. They arranged surf lessons, showed us local wildlife, and even helped organize a safari. One of the highlights was a beach BBQ with freshly caught fish – unforgettable! The accommodation was simple but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

yoga eat surf amazing sleep "Fantastic" I loved my stay at star Rest Surf Camp Arugambay , the team or should I say family are so welcoming, just waiting in anyway they can to help! Flexible schedules allow you to enjoy each day how you want to, and did I mention the food...... it is amazing! - healthy and so delicious, we were spoilt for choice at breakfast. Afternoons an excellent coffee (and homemade cake:-) at Loose Keys coffee shop at the entrance was another highlight. Surfing and yoga was great fun to learn with very proficient and patient instructors. If you want to go out in the evening, the team will gladly help to find the right venue. All in all I loved every aspect of my stay!! Can hardly wait to go back! I highly recommend this place to stay in the world ????????

Star Rest Surf Camp is a Small pearl in Arugam bay. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and you can hear the sound of crashing waves - the beach is only 100 meters away. The staff was very helpful and friendly and had a big impact on the atmosphere of the place. The place felt almost as my second home the week I spend here.

Good location. The Star Rest surf Camp is situated close to the beach and town is in walking distance. The bed was confortable. There was a fan in the room. Nice terasse to sit. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The loundry service was faster than I expected.

Loved the vibe and the staff incl Hetti! They’re all very friendly and helpful. Amazing location as it is on the ***** and close to all other spots. They have a super bar at the location as well with events on different nights so you don’t even need to go out if you don’t want to. Surf camp is amazing you can get here all services. I highly recommended this surf camp is best in the world because never seen before like this camp!!!!

Amazing place to stay near to the beach. We were expecting it to be more basic (as we booked the basic cabana) but it was amazing. Clean, comfy bed, desk and great place to chill under the cabana. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Surroundings were beautiful and well maintained gardens. Breakfast/food at the restaurant was great. Staff very friendly and very helpful. 10 minutes walk to Main point for surfing. This was our favourite wave in Arugam Bay. Being so close allowed us to be the first people in the water each day & surf it without crowds for about an hour. I highly recommend this Quite Place

Beautiful stay with Ansa ???? We had a perfect stay at star rest beach hotel. The rooms are right on the main street at Arugam Bay, meaning you’re one turn away from most shops and eateries. We didn’t have to use an auto rickshaw the entire time we stayed. The rooms are standard for Arugam Bay in general, but very clean, relatively quiet at night and with good AC. Last but definitely not least, the host/housekeeper Rauff was gracious, diligent and respectful. He goes the extra mile to help his guests with anything they ask, and deserves all credit for his great service. Big ups and all five stars to Ansa and the team!
