Helpful, friendly owners as the original room was unsuitable, but they found us a good alternative. They are now aware of the need to clarify their advertisement as 1 room in Steele Cottage does have a separate bathroom, BUT it is not en suite and you have to go across the corridor to it. Room is also quite small and stuffy, but the rest of the facilities are OK. Good breakfasts provided around large tables, so a chance to chat to others and an interesting tour of the main accommodation provided free

Belle expérience dans une belle maison antebellum sans oublier le sublime petit déjeuner dans une belle demeure de la même époque à moins de 8 minutes à pied.

Un'atmosfera unica di altri tempi! Stanza molto ampia e comoda con tutto il necessario...anche di più. Ottima la colazione servita con posate d'argento. Imperdibile la visita guidata. Staff super gentile e premuroso. Torneremo sicuramente!

The place itself is in need of some repairs. While walking on the back deck, the dry rotted wood was bowing under my feet. The house inside is very quaint and cozy, but the room was dirty. There were hairs in the tub, crumbs on the rug, and food wrappers under the dresser. The floor and the wall also have broken pieces of wood to the point where there is a hole. The area around is noisy and at one point I heard a gun shot.

Nice property but needs a bit of work. Stayed in the smaller room with no ensuite, which I'm fine with. However the bathroom needs renovations as the wallpaper and walls are in a sorry state. The bath/shower had no shower curtain so it was difficult to keep the water in the tub! The biggest issue was with the bedroom. The window is sealed shut and there was no a/c so it felt a bit musty. There were 4 lamps in the room, 2 of which weren't working so it was very dark. Even during the day it was difficult to pull the blind up as it was strung up incorrectly. The bed was comfy.
