This lodge, from the moment of arrival, was a superior experience. The team, namely, Kezia (our Butler) took care of me when I got ill one day, bringing me soup, attention, care. Our tracker and guides, Dr. Sam and Said were professional, knowledgeable and just genuinely excellent at their jobs. I cannot say enough great things about this magical place. Don't think twice. Book Taasa!

My sister and I first stayed at TAASA in March of 2022 for five nights. We had such a wonderful stay that I wanted to come back and stay longer (seven nights) to celebrate a milestone birthday. Our second stay was even more wonderful than the first. From the moment we arrived at the Kogatende Airstrip to the moment we left we were absolutely spoiled. Every game drive was amazing and some were just spectacular-tons of big cats, a rhino, a maternal elephant herd up close, and all the other usual suspects. Boniface was our tracker throughout our stay and his ability to spot animals quite a distance off is truly something to behold. Ole was our driver from the airtstrip and we had a morning game drive with Janet before Dominick, the guide for the rest of our stay arrived back in camp. Each guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job communicating what we were seeing and telling us about the animals as some of the people in our vehicle hadn't been to Africa before. The lodge itself is gorgeous-spacious rooms, a stunning view of eastern Tanzania, lovely common areas, and an infinity pool if you want to take a dip. The lodge isn't fenced so you never know who might wander through-one night we had a pride of six lions take down a zebra about 100 yards behind our tent. We were thrilled to listen to the lions and the hyenas discuss who might get the rest of the carcass! The food is delicious and the portions are quite generous-after a couple of days we asked for smaller portions because it was just too much. The vegetarian/nonmeat options are delicious as well. Chef Mota and his team really know what they are doing. We were lucky to have two boma dinners up the hill under the stars and one breakfast out in the bush (this was not a cold cereal and pastry breakfast-it was a complete breakfast to include eggs and omelets made to order). Staying at TAASA feels like going home-the staff is superb and they will make you feel like you are part of the family. The staff is warm, welcoming, and professional; it is clear they love working at TAASA and they want to share that with the guests. Thanks to Mwanaidi for taking such good care of our tent. We were so lucky to have Dominick and Boniface as our guide and tracker again and Gabriel as our stellar butler-we never wanted for anything. We are already planning our next trip back to TAASA. I also want to highlight the work Roane Travel and TAASA does for the local villages-whether it's furnishing school supplies, building wells or helping renovate the local school. The TAASA gift shop has backpacks, notebooks, and pens you can buy and donate to the school. It's a great feeling to know that you are able to give something back if you're so inclined.

Incredible safari lodge! Beautiful remote lodge and facilities, great staff, delicious food, extremely good guides and trackers, particularly Erick and Bonnie. The game drives were absolutely incredible - we saw so much! A five star experience all around! Highly recommend this lodge.

Taasa Lodge was our second Lodge in Tanzania. Taasa will always be our favorite African Experience on our two week Safari. Our Guide Eric and tracker Ruben were the Best! Our time with them was such an experience, the animals , their life stories , visting Ruben's Maasai family all made this a once in a lifetime experience for us! We experienced the African Hospitality every minute of our 3 night stay, from the greeting always in song, the staff, the Bush meals, sundown dinners....May the Manager , Gabrielle our Butler, Eric and Rubin we thank you for all the memories! "The Dust of Africa will never leave you"

Full review will come later but quickly- if you’re considering staying here - stop and book it now. The property is breathtaking, the food is delicious, every single staff member is fantastic, and the drives are stunning It is amazing in all the right ways!

This is our first Safari and I am so glad we chose Taasa Lodge in the Serengeti. From the moment we landed on the airstrip we were treated with such kindness. We ate a quick lunch and off we went on our first game drive. Our guide Logo and tracker Seketo were so knowledgeable and we had so much fun with them over the 5 days. You have a lot of time during your game drives to get to know them and we learned so much from them about the culture and I don't think there isn't anything they don't know about the animals. We reached the lodge and the warm welcome from the staff was beyond anything we had experienced before. The resort is stunningly decorated and the room was large and very comfortable. The food was delicious and we loved our meals out in the bush. We saw so many exciting animals on our game drives and Logo and Seketo were determined we got to see the migration crossing and their persistence paid off. If you get the chance to visit the Maasai village please do, it is so educational to see how the Maasai people live and you get to love on the children. It was life changing. When it was time to leave we felt like we had made many friends which made it very hard to say goodbye. The entire staff was exceptional but a few shout outs to Wilson our wonderful host during our stay, Logo our guide, Seketo our tracker, May the camp manager and Melissa the assistant manager. If you are looking for the most wonderful staff and exciting Safari in the Serengeti look no further.

Our stay at Taasa Lodge was exceptional! The Taasa experience far exceeded our expectations in every way: from the incredible, knowledgeable staff, to the perfect accommodations, the breathtaking safari drives, and the added lodge experiences. Learning about the Maasai culture from the staff at Taasa was especially meaningful; they are a very proud group of people. I can't say enough good things about this trip! Outstanding service and exceptional game driving. This lodge was our final stop on our safari and it was a great choice because we were tired from a week of nonstop safari-ing and Taasa was over the top in every way. Chef Motoala outdid himself with every meal whether it was a meal or snack. Responsive butler service who anticipated our needs. Exceptional massages. Beautiful accommodations where our view was to look out into the Serengeti valley of woodlands while elephants grazed right outside, giraffes lined the road up to the lodge and we saw impalas, jackals and even a leopard on the grounds. Our game driver Logo and tracker Bodie was very knowledgeable. Our family of six adults loved it.

Waiting for the Taasa at the Lobo Airstrip we said goodbye to our guide. The awaitingTaasa open air transport was manned by Ruben and Sa’id who constructed a table complete with food and libations. The two escorted us to the Lodge and explained that Ruben was the spotter and Sa’id was the driver. Our arrival at the property featured approximately up to 30 employees, lined up in formation, dancing, and chanting a welcoming song. We met Kezia, our Taasa escort and Melissa, the manager. Our accommodation was a elegant-tented cabin with an open bath hidden in the rear of the structure. The food and service were outstanding, and the demeanor of the staff was respectful and helpful. When walking on the property, we were always escorted with a Masai “guard” with a spear to discourage any curious animals. Two nights for dinner we were privileged to dine with Melissa, who was pleasant, knowledgeable, and a valuable source of the endless plains and the history of the property. She was warm and welcoming, and that lodge exuded her heart and soul. The four days we stayed at Taasa was great. Ruben and Sa’id drove us for many hours each day including a trip to Masai Village. Early mornings up to dusk we were treated to Serengeti scenes impossible to express. A nighttime Safari was included in our schedule, and a treat. The two guides were informative, very friendly, and informed.

Excellent stay. We loved everything about the place from the personal welcome we received on arrival and during our stay. Everything was exceptional and awesome . The Masai guides were very friendly and very caring and we were sad to leave on our last day. We will definitely return again.
