Could be such a lovely pub, amazing staff! shame that the bar stalls have again been removed creating zero atmosphere in our local pub. It really felt like we had a real sense of community for the first time in ages over the weekend when we had them back for two days, what a shame.

We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring the area on a short break. The accommodation, the food and ambience were perfect. Mark works alongside a very happy staff all of whom couldn't be more helpful to make our stay special. The village of Petworth is delightful to potter around with lovely little shops. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

Quaint, old inn and rooms. Modern features like rain shower head, lighted mirror, electric teakettle. Comfortable beds. Very convenient to town center and shops. Wonderful food. Friendly staff.

Delightful stay at The Angel Inn
Warm welcome. Rooms not overly large, but very well appointed, decent sized bathroom, all requirements for a few nights stay, comfortable beds and linen.
Downstairs bar and restaurant area spacious and staffed by friendly, cheerful and helpful people. Food good with lots of choice. Outside courtyard plenty of room and good seating.

This is barely a 3 star hotel. very hot and small room. Bed not comfortable. The place is tired...needs painting...very shabby inside and out

Very quant old building in the centre of Petworth village. The rooms are very clean, nicely designed with beautiful bathrooms.
Mind your head! As a very old building the stairs are narrow and uneven as may present a challenge for folks with limited mobility.

From the time we entered the restaurant the service was poor. Some of the staff were scruffy and all were inattentive. At every stage of our meal we had to chase the staff for service and removed the charge from our bill. The quality of the food was mediocre.

Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms

The Angel was selected for one of our evening pub runs and they did not disapoint. About 20 of us sat down in the front dining area and the food was to an excellent standard. Head chef Nick did a really great job and all the staff were wonderfull. I am sure we will return next year.

We were a party of 8 for dinner and we were made very welcome. The menu was varied and interesting without being too fancy, the food was well cooked and nicely presented, the service was attentive with a smile and the pricing was reasonable too.
