Great, historic but modern hotel. Our room was in the adjacent house and very large, very modern, very nice bathroom.
Good location to walk the area and the castle.
Parking is available for a fee
My friend and I had a fabulous stay at the Black Boy. We received a very warm welcome, the staff were helpful, kind and courteous. Our room and all the public areas are well maintained and spotlessly clean. The shower was great, bed comfy and we were able to adjust the radiator to suit the temperature we like. Breakfast was great, hot dishes cooked to order. We absolutely loved that all the fires were lit and it felt really cosy on a cold winters day. We stayed in the original building, it was really quirky and very authentic. We would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Excellent location. The Black Boy in was welcoming and warm. Room was immaculate. Had evening meal and breakfast there both very high quality . All staff were efficient and friendly.
Staff very helpful, clean & tidy room, very comfortable bed, very enjoyable stay, would stay again!
