Very nice, comfortable and authentic place to stay. Old charm of a historic house, with all the modern facilities. Very good breakfast. Stunning setting. And very friendly and helpful owner. Definitely he place to stay in this area!

While we did not stay here, we ate at the restaurant daily and the food was fantastic. Portion size was good , food was tasty and hot. I will highly recommend the OXTAIL, which is a serious must for your next meal

The beds are very comfortable and linen soft. The house is very old with lots of history. Beautiful views of the drakensberg and sterkfontein dam. Dinner was great! Paul is a great host. Wifi works well. No tv. Staff friendly. Shop with snacks

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, die Unterkunft hat einen besonderen Charm und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine frühe Abreise war kein Problem, wir bekamen sogar ein sehr gro?es und gutes Frühstückspaket mit. Das Essen allgemein war sehr lecker und frisch gekocht, sehr empfehlenswert.

Unfortunately we stayed here for just one night. We arrived quite late but still got some very nice dinner, freshly cooked and it was delicious. As a dessert I absolutely recommend the Malvapudding with custard. It was my first but it's very hard to top that experience now. The rooms are quite big and there is more than enough space for you. You can feel that the owner does everything he does with lots of love and is very passionate about running this place. We would love to visit again!

We popped in on a spur of the moment decision, after visiting "Die kaalvoet vrou" monument, for lunch. This was a gem of a find in the 'berg. We drove into a well nestled place, with ample parking, and immediate access to amenities. We did need to find the right building for lunch, but help was on hand quickly and we went to the eating lounge. Small, seating 20, but warmed by a nice cracking fire, with an external patio. Service was a little slow but, with the other extended sized family taking up all the focus, it was too be expected. The food was excellent and well worth the wait and drinks were ordered and brought to keep us busy while we waited for our meal. The English style fish and chips I had were arguably better than those I had in the UK, with moist, crispy battered fish. My family had burgers with homemade burger buns and only good things to say about the burgers. I highly recommend this restaurant.
