What a brilliant host Graham is! From booking, throughout the stay, and checkout were all smooth and hassle free. Nice comfortable room, spacious kitchen, and noise free. Thank you Graham. Will visit again, and I highly recommend others to do so too.

Lots of positives, but iasues which affected my stay. I stayed in room 3. Very comfortable beds..a double bed and a double bunk bed. Normally when with my partner, staying in hotels is a bit tough as my partner stores really heavily. This Room would be much better to have a bit of space..... and distance to escape the snoring lol. Rooms simple with private bathroom., and very clean. Not the hostels fault, but the people above were constantly walking and banging around past 3am...but worse still, decided to use something electric...like a really super loud electric shaver ( and before u laugh, I don't think it was something bought from Ann Summers ! ) at 3.10 am for ten minutes ..crazily intrusive, which resulted in me having had virtually no sleep since. The other comment is however something the hostel should be much more honest with. Please don't say there is free street parking nearby. There isn't. It's double yellows all along the road where the hostel is, and permit parking only otherwise nearby. I ended up paying ￡15 for parking at the car park near to the train station. This hostel is good value for ￡39, and I'd stay here again..but only if I come by train. Not quite as good value as first thought taking in the cost of a car park to pay for.

Totally recommend! It's just a few minutes' walk to the train station and less than 20 minutes to the old town of Chester. Graham does a great job! Very helpful and on hand. Very clean, comfortable rooms, I would book again. :-)
