Fantastic. I went to Port Rush to support my son playing in the SuperCup NI football tournament. So I needed a home base, and the Carrick was simply outstanding!!! The room was great (my daughter on a video chat said "that's a lot of room for just you!!"), lots of space including a hallway (within my room) to get to the bathroom and shower. Spacious, clean, etc. And the breakfasts! Fantastic breakfasts, fresh every morning from porridge to bacon/eggs/black pudding (my first time, loved it)/sausages. Your choice, but I strongly recommend "The 1905". Scott is the heart of this. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful, always quick to top off your coffee or, in my case, help store groceries. (I was regularly buying groceries for my son who stayed in a team dorm, and I needed to store perishables and Scott was happy to help out!). I should also add he's a huge Bears fan (Chicago, US Football) so we had lots to chat about. Not to mention he was always quick to ask how my son's games were going and have a good chat. As for location, in a quiet part of town but easy access to the beach (5 min walk), walking paths, and an easy walk (15-20 min) into the heart of Port Rush. Would absolutely stay there again!

We had an incredible stay at the Carrick. Scott went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great including giving us a ride to our restaurant when none of the local taxi's were running since it was a Sunday. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were great, can't recommend this place more. Truly one of the highlights from our 2 weeks in Ireland!

The Carrick is an excellent place to stay. Friendly host, comfortable beds, good food. The quality of the bedrooms is faultless. It's an easy walk into Portrush and close to a railway station. Portrush makes a good base for the Northern Ireland coast. A very enjoyable stay.

Really loved staying at the Carrick, lovely decor and cracking Service, our Host Scott Couldn’t have been more accommodating and Friendly, Breakfast options were Great, and even if you requested something which was unavailable, Scott made sure it was supplied for the next Day . We visited for the NW 200 and had the Best time Thank you very much for an amazing Break

Simply outstanding, the best B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms super comfortable and immaculately clean and well appointed. Well located and convenient for accessing Portrush and the Northen Ireland coast. Scott was superb and we couldn’t have asked for a more. I would recommend without any reservations.

The building in no way stands out as a place to stay, it's part of a fine terrace and would be indistinguishable from the others if were not for the sign and a look of refreshment about its paintwork. But enter the porch and any minor doubt dissolves as you are greeted by the cheery form of Scott, the proprietor, who is most efficient at getting you settled into the establishment. We were granted a 'Super King' room which lay at the front and overlooked the town of Portrush, albeit with the railway line at the foot of the front garden, yet it never caused any disturbance. For fans of the NW200 the line immedietly crosses the course just up from Church Corner for the hotel is a matter of yards from the track. The bed itself was high from the floor and delightfully comfortable with small sofa and table for daily living, although, as is often the case, the en suite was a little cramped being a much later addition to the room. And on that subject the shower would have benefited from some instruction upon its operation, yet that must not distract from its cleanliness and the close attention it obviously receives between bookings. Breakfast was delightful and Scott insistent on attending to our satisfaction with food aplenty, if only a little little light on the meat of a hearty breakfast, a further rasher or egg would have raised it to the very pinnacle. We came away from the Carrick full of goodwill and delight, we had been sumptuously looked after and can only offer a full, strong and quite sincere recommendation to others who may be considering a stay.

We stayed a night in this fantastic family run hotel. Scott couldn't have been more accomodating. The room was very comfortable and quiet with sea views looking over to Portrush. Great facilities and the breakfast was delicious. We would thoroughly recommend.

Scott couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Chocolate in the room was a real (naughty) treat, and a cold drink on arrival was a really welcome bonus. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble.

Outstanding experience! There is no surprise that all the reviews are soo good. We only saw Scott throughout the stay and he was an amzing host., Breakfast was excellent, the location of the hotel is quiet, and all questions and queries were answered with a smile on his face. We were a group of 5 and to a person we though Scott and the Carrick is a place we would happily recommend to anyone visiting Portrush. If only all hotels and levels of service could be like this!

On arrival Scott was so welcoming. Such a lovely down to earth person. Made us feel special. He had organised flowers and prosecco for my birthday( my partner asking him to for our arrival)and gifted us a bottle from him and his wife. Beautiful flowers,thank you again! The room was exceptional. Decor was very high spec. Coffee maker,snack bars,slippers and robes. The bathroom was a luxury with a shower and a big bath to soak in. Separate toilet was an added luxury too. Luxury toiletries which smelt divine! The breakfast was amazing,especially the scramble egg with Irish cheese. My partner had the full breakfast and the presentation was Michelin ? Scott has done a brilliant job being a Super Host. B was clean,modern with a twist of old mixed in the decor which felt so homely. Very tastefully decorated. Scott was full of local knowledge and his home was a pleasure to stay in.
