Gem of a place The room was clean and bright. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Easy booking in process. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

A hidden gem. Run by two lovely people that cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed is so comfortable. Excellent breakfast and parking nearby is relatively easy and the hotel supplies the parking permit. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

This was our second stay. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Ideal location and no issues with parking.Excellent breakfast. Friendly atmosphere. Thank you Keith and Yvonne. See you next year.

Excellent We booked a short break at this B&B. The owners were always very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were brilliant and the room was lovely. We would highly recommend.

Disappointed Stayed 2 nights, good location, clean room and comfortable sleep. Friendly owners but dated accommodation. No latch to keep window open in room. Disappointing breakfast - didn’t cater appropriately for a vegetarian gluten-free breakfast, despite paying full rate there was no gluten-free cereal, no fruit (despite being listed on website and on in-room info sheet) and was advised to bring own g/f bread. Accommodation providers should ensure an inclusive experience for all its guests. Not the best value.

Thank you for your comments - The window is now temporarily mended. Unfortunately new windows are too expensive. No we don't have gluten-free cereals as we have been advised that they are like cardboard and they would go off before anybody would eat so this would not be cost efficient. We have stopped doing the fruit because again people were not eating it or just taking the fruit with them to eat in the day. Yes we do advise to bring your own gluten free bread as again this is very expensive and everybody has there own take on gluten free bread. Please note that your are our first Gluten Free Vegetarian in the 4 years that we have been trading. You advised that our accommodation needs updating Im sorry but in the 4 years that we have been here we have updated showers/furniture/decoration so I am not sure what else you would want us to do in a 150 year old house.We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us.

Restored our faith in UK B&B !! We had a wonderful stay, Keith & Yvonne were fantastic, we even had a few pints in their pub in the evening. They sorted parking out for us and made us feel really welcome. The full English breakfast was perfect.

Friendly atmosphere from Keith and Yvonne - very comfortable and clean en-suite room with a king size bed. The breakfasts are very tasty and filling with great choices. Close to the sea front and a short walk into Whitby town centre. Street parking with a permit that The Europa provides. Would stay here again - book direct with The Europa for a better deal

We had Room 4, which is the largest. Best shower and cubicle we have found in a B and B, comfy bed with good pillows and smelt so fresh. Very clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and the cooked breakfast was excellent with ample choices. Definitely will go back.
