We can only echo the comments about the very well appointed suites/apartments at The Frames with the spectacular location high above the Murray River. But what really made our visit enjoyable was the incredible warmth from all the staff from manager Kelly to the hosts Rick and Cathy and their wonderful friends who gave us very personalised tours of this corner of Australia. From the Gondola ride to the river safari , from the food tour to the private chef. We had a great time and hope The Frames is a huge success.

What a tremendously well built and laid out accommodation that reflects the owners' genuine passion to exhibit the beauty of the Riverlands. The lovely views of the River Murray by the balcony took our breaths away. The sincerity of the owners Rick & Cathy were felt throughout the duration of our stay as Rick came to greet us from Day One and introduced many recommendations of food, drinks and activities which were extremely helpful and truly completed our perfect staycation. The accommodation itself was absolutely stunning with a high level of security and privacy. Each building came with its own pool, sauna, spa and BBQ facilities. The house was clean and updated with new electronics that made our stay so comfortable and well entertained. Rick and Cathy's The Frames Riverlands Retreat is beyond well expectations. A huge thanks to Rob for taking care of us on the beautiful Gondola Cruise and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the River Murray. Thank you to Kelly, the retreat's manager who always answered promptly when we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. 100% would recommend to everyone and we would come again if the opportunity arises.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Frames, brilliant idea to have private apartments with their own pools and complete facilities. My partner and I were welcomed by David who showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. After sleeping on the adjustable bed I’m now looking into getting one for home. The view over the river is perfect with sunset views from bed. We also took advantage of the private tours and went on the flavour safari. Tony our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Gave us so much information on the area. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying at the frames.

A wonderful place to relax while exploring the Riverland. Luxurious accommodation and Rick and Cathy were so kind to a solo visitor providing useful information, a wonderful River safari, excellent BBQ s and an evening in the Gondola. Some interesting places to explore while there and to learn about the river.

This is the second visit to The Frames - the first was just the two of us and this one was with a couple of friends with whom we have shared lots of travel experiences. We deliberately chose to repeat the same tour on the water as it was such a great insight to the River and the role it plays in the economy and ecology of Australia. The accommodation stay was superb - generous breakfast provisions, elegant furnishings, comfy beds, crisp linens, lap pool, spa, IR sauna, and great tips to get the best of the region.

We booked the 3-night full package including excursions and food package. In summary: It was an excellent experience way beyond our expectations. It started with us choosing the desired food package before arrival, setting our expectations already high. We were welcomed by the owner, mentioning that all activities are just for the 2 of us - not just privacy, but also tailored and personalized. No compromises with other travellers. The accomodation is not just a hotel room - it is a fully equipped, spacious ca. 100 sqm apartment plus outside platform (300 sqm in total) for all different relaxation facilities (pool, whirlpool, sauna, grillstation, table for eating outside) - with all the whistle and bells beyond our expectation (expectation plus min. 50%!) . All equipment was top quality - no compromises. Housekeeping was simply perfect replacing all goods, we have used the day before. Food concept: Breakfast provisions are beyond expectation. Lunch was mainly provided included in the excursions. For dinner: once came a chef into our apartment and provided us a first class dinner - prepared in the kitchen, which is part of the accomodation. For the other dinners we were provided an excellent and well pre-prepard dinner with all ingredients - we just had to add the finishing touches (e.g. grilling, putting into the oven) and could enjoy an excellent dinner at our leisure. This was simply beyond anything, we have experienced so far. Excursions: personalized and guided with locals, knowing the in's and out's of this very interesting region. The Murray River provides the water for extensive and well diversified farming products, incl. e.g. 80% of Australias wine production! Thanks to our guides, we really could immerse into this very interesting region of Australia: You haven't experienced Australia without having seen and experienced this region. The Frames is not just an accomodation - it is the door to a very interesting region of Southern Australia.

What an experience. We left The Frames for 1 hour, to have a quick look around the town, but we did not want or need to leave for longer. Catering is available or bring your own steak which we did, to cook on the outdoor bbq (kitchen) to accompany the lovely complimentary bottle of wine There was enough Gourmet provisions to keep us going for breakfast and lunch. The river view, the pool, sauna… oh and the Bed.. the list goes on and on. Our expectations were high but were exceeded by far.

Wow, wow, wow… what an amazing place. We were lucky to spend 3 nights at The Frames. What an experience, would we return again - absolutely, in a heartbeat. Should you book it - what are you waiting for… Architecturally the build of The Frames is unlike anything we’ve ever stayed in before. Beautifully considered with a high spec interior design to match. The owners have thought of everything that you could possible need to make your stay easy and smooth including many kindnesses and treats for you to enjoy. The opportunity to take up some lovely add ons included a sunset boat trip, river Safari, BBQ pack to cook at the villa and a private chefs dinner making the offer at The Frames very special indeed. The customer service provided by everyone we came in contact with was second to none. It was a pleasure from start to finish. Thank you to all at The Frames for making our stay there such a special time and giving us some lifetime memories.

How lucky we were to celebrate my husbands birthday for a quick weekend getaway from the Barossa...we were not disappointed. This is a true escape from the world in the land of luxury. The thought that has gone into the architecture of each building and the interior design features is outstanding along with the little surprise moments from our hosts.
