I recently visited with my partner and we had a genuinely brilliant vegetarian alternative afternoon tea. The offering was imaginative, brilliantly prepared and generous amounts. Veggie options can often be poor substitutes but this was probably one of the best we've ever had. Great value and would strongly recommend.

Everything about this place was great! Spa, Rooms, Food and staff! Couldnt fault it in any way! Will definitely return and Skipton is great too

Nice small inn. Good beer and food. Spa and pool good. Gym was well set out. A bit expensive for the size of the room. All staff very nice.

Service was excellent all staff very attentive food was OK breakfast was really lovely we were in a deluxe room this had patio doors with a small terrace with rable and chairs. Excellent coffee machine in room.

Last night had a family/friends meal, fantastic service, due to the size of the group (15) we tried lots on the menu and there wasn't one complaint, the Cumberland sausage, large fish and chips, burgers and pie of the day come highly recommended. When the Birthday cake came out, the chef joined in with happy birthday as did the staff and 0ther diners! restaurant manager very observant, interactive and accommodating. Set in beautiful grounds . Brilliant service considering there was also a wedding in the function room, which was beautifully decorated!

Pleasant venue and spa facilities were good except that the spa pool was out of order. Upon arrival, I was surprised that the Inn was nestled in a large holiday home park. Disappointed that there were no other solo travellers which I sense is generally the case throughout the year. The manager was somewhat unfriendly and became defensive when I asked whether the windows in the bar area could be opened to release some wasps and moths. His response was that two wasps nests had been destroyed. I accept that wasps can be bothersome but it’s not necessary to kill them. I was disturbed to then see a makeshift container filled with insecticide on a bench outside containing dead and dying wasps, moths and butterflies. After contacting a customer service manager about my concern, she assured me she would trial my suggestion to place pieces of fruit outside for the insects.

Beautiful food, I can recommend the Butter Chicken curry. However I was surprised and rather disappointed to find the Quiz night participants are permitted to invade the restaurant area, completely spoiling the dining experience, moving tables and chairs, to the point of bumping into you, whilst eating. If you wish to enjoy a restaurant meal at this establishment, I would suggest you avoid Wednesday evenings.

Me and my wife went here for first time .Not good food average service very poor .Orderd some soft drinks which we did not get cause they forgot .My wife had to wave down the waitress to get them. Food not worth it .My wife was asked do you want to see sweet menu and again never got it.What made us laugth was the guy who asked us was at the counter when we paid and he never said anything. Will never go again .Would get better service at Mcdonalds.

Stayed in one of the camping pods. Excellent accommodation, quiet and everything you would need. Very clean and tidy. Had evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Very attentive, but not intrusive staff. Food was very good. Looking to return, possibly a winter break.

Stayed one night this week. Perfect. Got a bed and breakfast deal. Gorgeous room called High Seat. Beautiful bed, high quality fittings. Very smart bathroom. All immaculate .Lovely staff Lucy checked us in, we were two hours early so used the pool/ sauna. Very surprisingly large pool. All spotlessly clean. Tip take flip flops for changing rooms . They have new underfloor heating and the water on top made it very slippery . Abbey on reception at spa very warm and welcoming. Tip pool open7.00 to 9.00pm as with everything else in the hotel sauna and steam spotless. Dinner was great. Very very igood quality and very inexpensive. Two mains, two ice creams , small rose and Diet Coke ￡48.00 ! perfect staff.fish and chips were sublime! Finally PERFECT full breakfast cooked to order. And Carol was a tremendously warm generous helpful member of staff It’s setting in the dales is gorgeous We are certainly going back.
