The hotel itself is very special and the staff are friendly and attentive in an unassuming way.

For my money best hotel in London. First, location. Right near Buckingham Palace. We walked to Piccadilly, the theaters, Kensington Palace, and the St. James area (Lovely Jermyn Street!!) With no problem. Victoria Station right around the corner.
Second, the physical plant. Absolutely lovely in every way.
Third, the staff. Simply the best, most helpful, charming staff I have encountered.
Fourth, the food. The Michelin rated restaurant soars!!
Don't hesitate. You will absolutely love it.

Opulence and class… take the time to try “The Gowring”. Staff will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoys your time there. Dining is just as much of a treat… top tier all around! We will be back !

Wonderful bedrooms and steeped in history. Amazing cocktail bar. Discrete professional service. It’s no wonder this was the Queen’s favourite hotel

The hotel was outstanding on every level including the front desk, meal and drink services, bell men, concierge services, housekeeping, etc. We had especially outstanding service from the concierge desk by Sean and Matthew. They were invaluable in helping us make reservations and plan our daily excursions. The location of the hotel is close to many of London's historical attractions, yet on a quiet street.
We will definately stay at The Goring on our next visit to London and highly recommend this amazing hotel.
