An absolutely beautiful hotel with amazing decor and a calm atmosphere very close to the fort. The terrace restaurant has a gorgeous view of the fort. The meals there were lovely and the waiting staff were so nice, as were the helpful manager and the philosopher owner. The room was huge and just beautiful too with lavish furnishing very tastefully done. The shower and bathroom were enormous. We didn't do the whole desert experience but the manager helped us to do our own short trip to a quiet deserted village and the desert which we preferred to the organised ones. The pool was fantastic even though the temperature was chilly as expected.

Room was large and clean and the bed is super comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a shower, and great water pressure. Excellent service from the staff, especially the dining staff. Great view from the rooftop, and it's a lovely and relaxing spot for lunch. They have a same day laundry service. There's a spa as well, and the massages are reasonably priced. Highly recommend a stay here if you're in Jaisalmer.

The hotel is a beautiful modern haveli with lovely views of the fort from the roof terrace restaurant. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, the food was extremely good and the staff very attentive. It has a charming swimming pool area where one can relax. It is also possible to get a massage from the hotel’s very experienced and professional masseur. Overall a great experience.

We had a fabulous time at The Gulaal. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well equipped and the staff are all excellent ??. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for 3 nights giving us time to explore the incredible living fort of Jaiselmere and relax a little at the hotel. It is in a perfect location. Thanks to all who made our stay so memorable

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed the stay in total. The property is very good and well maintained. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Our check in process was quick and very smooth. The room was clean and ready for our immediate occupation. Front office manager Babu was always available with a smile to attend to any of our needs. Thank you Babu. The restaurant section is on the terrace and has a beautiful view of the fort and the city. The fort looks very nice at night from here. Food is completely customizable to the guest needs and very good. We really enjoyed our breakfast and dinners here. Restaurant staff Ajay Singh, Atul and Shibu who attended us during our stay are very polite and good. Thank you Ajay, Atul and Shibu.

Very royal boutique hotel with lovely ambiance and service. Roof top restaurant had great views of the city and Fort. Food is excellent and one cannot miss the sizes of the suite and deluxe rooms, normally not seen in tourist hotels. All amenities and very courteous team lead by the owner Mr. Virendra Singh ji himself. Me any my family from Bangalore had wonderful 2 nights stay at this lovely hotel. Recommend all to book and see the difference.

The Gulaal provided a memorable stay, with beautiful decor/ambience, top-notch facilities and fantastic service. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers visiting Jaisalmer.

The hotel is great, in terms of location, quality of the rooms and service and easy access to the Fort. Most of all, my abiding memory will be of the help given to me when I lost my passport outside the hotel. The manager and his team worked with the Police and others to let other agencies know about the loss, and it was a wonderful surprise when they let me know that the passport had been recovered. Even then they still went beyond the usual expectations and made arrangements to get it back to me - in another city by that time- overnight.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel and 1 night 'Sleeping under the stars/Overnight Safari'. We had an exceptional time in Jaisalmer, specifically because of the amazing staff at the Gulaal. The room is amazing and clean. The food was delicious and fresh. Gulaab took us on the safari and Neymar, the camel ***, led us on camels, cooked our food and sang us some wonderful songs. It was a really special experience in the desert. Shibu and the others took very good care of us for all meals. Babu at the front desk provided very clear information and support of our needs. Prani at the spa provided exceptional service. The staff is very attentive. We would very much like to come back in the future. -Lina and Joe, Seattle, Washington, USA.
