We came to stay for 3 nights as the location was perfect as we were visiting friends in the area. We brought our dog with us and I have to say the staff treated her amazingly and made us feel so welcome with her! Room We stayed in a lovely room which was much bigger than we expected! This made it so much easier staying with the dog as well! The bed was comfortable (2 singles joined together) and there were some lovely seats at well to watch tv and read. Bathroom was great lots of space! Breakfast I am gluten free and there was a great selection for me! They just adapted the offers with no problem and there was also gluten free cereal as well! What I liked is being able to choose from the menu each night so we had a good range with staying for a few nights! Pizza night! This was excellent! Although I am usually gluten free I can have sourdough so was really happy to find out the pizzas were sourdough! They were fantastic and would highly recommend going on a Thursday for these alone!! Other food We went for dinner on the last night and I have to say the food is a notch above your typical ‘pub food’ the quality was excellent and really enjoyed everything! Overall We will definitely be coming to stay here again! We are regular visitors and usually rent a place because of the dog! But not again! This was so much nicer having the bed and breakfast and the pub as well rather than having to bring all the stuff to cater for yourself! Staff couldn’t do enough and were super friendly!

A comfortable, tastefully decorated room. The staff were polite and friendly. The food was delicious and of an exceptionally high standard. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast (sourdough and smashed avocado etc) which was fresh and generous. I will definitely stay again when in the area.

We would highly recommend this hotel, which has a nice quiet location, we we had the family room for the two of us which was huge very clean and well presented with a large flat screen television and king sized bed, tea coffee and hot chocolate facilities were available in the room, the bath room was large with a huge rainfall shower and roll top bath all spotlessly clean. Nice atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff, lovely evening meal and very nice breakfast ( the breakfast was included in the price of the room ) excellent menu for breakfast and evening meal, free parking behind the hotel, the log fires in the bar and dining room were very welcoming, the hotel is dog friendly as well which is probably why it is so nice

We came back with a group of good friends for a game of skittles in the fantastic new skittle alley. We’d book dinner afterwards, and what a treat. Fantastic draughty beer, beautifully cooked quality local ingredients gave us a truly memorable evening. Thank you, we will always book when visiting the South West ????

Can’t recommend this lovely Inn enough. We stayed one night on our way to North Devon coast. A perfect stopover. We were lucky to arrive on Pizza night and I think it’s one of the nicest pizzas I’ve had in years! Our room was perfect (No. 4) comfortable bed. Great selection of tea and coffee with fresh milk from a fridge outside our room. Breakfast was excellent. All the staff were so friendly, we will definitely go back.

Brilliant value. Not a huge menu to choose from but something for everyone. Was quite quiet but it was a week night. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

We came in for Sunday lunch for my Auntie’s birthday last week. We were a large table with various dietary requirements so not the easiest customers! However, the service from Poppy was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, nothing was too much trouble, she made us feel so welcome and is a credit to the team there! Great staff, great food, would definitely recommend! Thank you!

The Hatch Inn is a lovely venue in a beautifull village in Somerset. Clare and Tony are amazing hosts who were very generous and kind with their hospitality. The room we stayed is was extremely comfortable and clean. There was a wide choice of dishes for breakfast which was delicious. I had Eggs Benedict and my wife had the Eggs Royale. We would recommend this for anyone who needs accommodation in the area, or looking to spend an enjoyable evening in a county pub for drinks and dinner. Benny and Lou

Just came home from a few days staying a this gorgeous hotel, which is based in the heart of a little village. The rooms are well decorated and very clean , the beds are the most comfortable I have slept in. Breakfast and the food as a whole is outstanding. But what makes this place very special is the amazing staff team , who can not do enough for you, and make you feel so very welcome. If you are in the area of Taunton give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

Booked in here for 2 nights, recommended by our good friends who live locally. Superb Room (4), plenty of space, great bathroom and comfy bed. Such friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfast was delicious and filling. We would definitely return to this gem of a place
