My second visit to Ivanhoe this year, very comfortable and cosy hotel that feels more like home with prompt service,fresh cooked food and is spotlessly clean .Anna Ma'am, and Mr Rupam, the manager of the property are always at hand,helpful and also a treasure trove of local information and history.Uden,Diwas and all the other support staff are doing an excellent job,serving with warmth and always a smile.The hotel is conveniently located very near to the Mall and Observatory Hill,yet it is in a quiet locality away from the tourist buzz of Darjeeling. Highly recommended...I would not hesitate to book Ivanhoe for my next visit.

I wad so disappointed after reading good reviews. I was hassled daily before arriving to make full payment for the booked stay. That should have set off alrm bells. The room was run down and very basic. Although the bed was clean, the floors and walls were dirty. The bathroom was in poor state of repair. The staff were friendly but poorly managed. I had to ask for the basics like water and my room was not serviced in 4 days. I left a day early

It's a true Heritage property aged 152 years. Designed tastefully to meet the modern amenities without changing the Heritage construction and outlook. It's must for anyone visiting Darjeeling. City centre shopping on Mall Road is only 7 mins of beautiful walk with greens and trees between 200 to 500 years old standing as a witness to what Darjeeling was and now. Rooms are equipped with fireplace from the era and amazing fact all smoke is through the chimney leaving room warm and smoke free. Room service is personalised with fresh dishes prepared as per one's choice. It's quite and peaceful superb for honeymooners, author's who wish to complete book in peaceful serene surroundings. Teakwood panels & floors are soothing to eyes. Antiques & painting of variety decorate the walls preserved from 15 decades.. Rooms can be booked through TripAdvisor for special deals. Rooms are high ceiling and very large with enough space to walk or sit in a corner with warm cup of tea with cookies. Looking at the mountains view. Queen size double bed is there with option of extra bed is conveniently placed in room on demand. It's a hidden glory with calm and quite atmosphere. One can sit in garden area and order freshly brewed tea or coffee with snacks enjoying a book ?? or music ?? Vivaldi , Bach or Pink Floyd etc.

hotel Ivanhoe, heritage property in Darjeeling near to mall road. only 5 minutes walking to Mal. well maintained and staff are well behaved & friendly too. they always ready to help.room are well decor and spacious. easy to access to anywhere u want to go and wifi is also very strong in every where in hotel erea. I'm impressed to see the heritage decore collection spread every where in hotel.
