The Mayson was in a good part of Dublin, just around 20 minutes away from "central" Dublin. You could easily walk to the city centre, but I found the buses to be easily navigable. The room I stayed in was pretty clean, but I noticed lots of dust on the floor, which wasn't a big issue. It might have just been the time that I was staying there, but I could hear a lot from outside of the hotel and inside as well. However, I would come back despite these minor things.

Rooms very small but workable. On 5th floor with restaurant above noise woke me from 7am. Staff very friendly Breakfast was excellent 10/10

The staff were lovely and the main areas of the hotel were gorgeous. Great location. Unfortunately, there was a big open vent in our room that was dusty and letting in a draft and noise. There was also some dust in the bathroom. Not much toilet roll and very noisy at night. The room was very small, too and didn’t feel worth the price unfortunately which is a shame because the hotel itself was beautiful and everyone was kind and helpful.

This is a bias review because I brought my kids. I will start by saying the staff, hotel, and amenities were really nice! However, I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone bringing children with them. All the restaurants are always booked and they only allow kids under 16 to use the pool for very limited hours during the middle of the day. Also, if you rented a car for your trip absolutely do not stay at this hotel, the parking situation not convenient at all (it is off site and a good walk, plus they charge a hefty price per night). Again, overall the hotel was very very nice, but absolutely not a good hotel for children.

Chouette décoration, salle de sport au top et piscine/sauna appréciables. Les chambres sont minuscules et elles ne sont pas faites chaque jour même si on le demande au checkin. Petit déjeuner très copieux et qualitatif, un vrai plus

Great hotel Great stay for one night- room Was cosy but perfect for 2 people for a short stay. Staff were friendly and check in/out was hassle free.

Lovely stay at a lovely town! Very helpful staff … restaurant and bar were really good. Great views and centrally located. Highly recommend this hotel!

Average Room was absolutely tiny and could have been cleaned better, dirty tea cup, dirt under the bed and hand print on bathroom door. Nothing major, just a bit careless. For the price, I expect more. We did get vouchers for some bubbly to celebrate a birthday which was thoughtful. Rooftop bar closed when we returned and hoped to enjoy at nightcap at 11.30pm so that was a pity. Comfy bed. Noisy works outside but beyond hotel’s control. Nice little pool. Checkout slow and other guests skipping queue to get away faster. Online checkout or swift checkout (drop keycard and go) would be a good idea.

Out of everywhere we could’ve chose to stay in Dublin, I’m so so thankful we ended up at The Mayson. It was everything we needed for a long weekend in Ireland. The restaurant below was delicious & the bartenders next door knew what was up. We had such a memorable time, & everyone here combined with the atmosphere made our time away from home even more enjoyable!
