Vistied here for the first time in a while. Interior was nice, warm and welcoming. The girl on the bar was really polite and friendly. It was absolutely freezing, I wanted to take my coat off to have my lunch but it was just so cold. It was during the day on a week day so not many bodies in a big space to naturally heat up. I wish I could say kind things about the food, alas I can not. I had the chicken a starter with honey. It was heavy with grease. It had not been drained off at all, I could tell the oil used was old and dirty, left a horrible taste in my mouth. It was only ￡6.95 so not bad.

Had a poor room - might be others better. Very small with no chair or desk. Sadly no mirror and no hair dryer for my wife . Heating was off and the room was very cold - went on early morning after we complained. Carpets a bit grubby so on the whole a poor experience. On the plus side the car park was welcome , and the bar staff friendly and helpful . No bathmat was surprising and no amenities apart from soap. Good view through the dirty window

Stayed here 21st October. As it was my birthday, one night .went out to eat so couldn't comment on evening meal but had breakfast and it was spot on .it was huge and tasty and for 7 95 a bargain. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The en-suite room was clean, impressive TV and did the job well. The food, both in the evening and breakfast was impressive - freshly cooked and affordable. Be a miss not to mention the helpful staff Overall given the affordable pricing - amazing value The only 4 in a bed cost a star - the parking area needs a clean up

My five-year-old and I stayed one night. It was right on Roker Beach – literally a minute from the sand and some great places to eat! We got a fantastic deal at ￡40 for the night. The room was pretty standard, but everything was super clean and perfectly fine for what we paid and where it was. Two little things could be better: the window didn’t close properly, so it was a bit noisy, and the curtains didn’t block out much sun. Apart from that, we’d definitely go back, especially for the price and the location. We ate in the pub’s restaurant too; the food was yummy and not too pricey. My son loved his pizza and ice cream!

Comfortable beds, lovely location right on the seafront. Rooms have just been decorated could see there was someone in working on rooms doing repairs and new decor. Staff and food lovely. For the price you really cannot grumble for an afforbable get away
