Oh, the beauty and serenity of nature echos in this place. The staff is genuinely friendly and warm. Very clean and homely accommodation - I loved the fact that there was no TV.

This is great accommodation if you want a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We stayed in the Handycap cottage. The cottages are spacious, with neat bedrooms and well maintained bathrooms. You can have your meals on the patio table (no dining space inside the cottage) although this really depends on favourable weather. Wood and charcoal was provided for both braai or if you need to get the fireplace going. We felt the kitchen was kitted with the bare minimum and although it worked OK for us we have been to self catering places that are much better kitted. Hot water is gas-controlled and I don't quite know how this works but we kept getting hot water going cold, then hot again and cold again making taking a shower quite a challenge. We enjoyed taking walks around the farm. It truly is a great place for relaxation. The only downside (for us) is that cottages are semi-detached by what is just a prefab wall so privacy is not 100%. With a 2 year old we always worried about making noise for our neighbours. When we got there, the lights in one of the bathrooms was not working but as soon as we alerted the manageress, this was promptly attended to. Overall good value for money.
