看完乔治·奥威尔的《缅甸岁月》之后，脑子一热，想着要不去缅甸玩几天吧；再一查，亚洲三大遗产酒店之一，中南明珠，东南亚历史最悠久的酒店，The Strand Hotel重新营业啦！！！！！
The Strand酒店在我眼里特别完美：
1.价格合理；
2. 位置好（仰光河旁边，旁边是瑰丽酒店，离中心苏雷塔也就是步行十分钟的事儿）；
3.悠长的历史和一部部文学作品
4. 还有因内战而停业的经历
5. 酒店的酒好喝，菜好吃（就连宵夜都好吃）
6. 前台/餐厅/酒吧工作人员的英文都不错
7. 服务相当到位

The Strand is a find, old hotel which, for the most part, has been tastefully refurbished. Some shortcomings: the staff appear very young, inexperienced and with poor English, resulting in the wrong response to requests - half an hour to get cornflakes for breakfast; the lighting in the suite was poor, with several lamps but few overhead lights, making it impossible to read in bed; the bathroom shower had little water pressure and was difficult to use; we couldn't use the bath as there was no plug; three telephones in the suite but two not working, so the only usable phone was in the toilet cubicle - not the best spot for conversation; requests to resolve the problem went unanswered. Checking out, the management showed no interest in listening to customer feedback. Someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee..

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed! A+++ Old world charm in Yangon and being over 125 years, it was like staying in history. Highly recommend this place. From the rooms and especially the staff are beyond reproach. The food was also excellent with one of the best breakfasts in Asia.

传奇历史名店。位置不好，门口就是马路，周边没有设施。没什么可逛。房间都差不多，订最基础房型即可，贵的不会更好，面江的房也完全看不到夕阳跟江景。服务态度是好，但是SOP很差，订的房含high tea，餐厅要确认多次，本人去駡了才有，入住把我签证纸弄丢了(这很严重)，打电话去让他们找，跟我说扫描到另一张，根本胡说八道。

It is not quite easy to put a fair review for this hotel. At a very first glance, with the ongoing political unrest in Myanmar, the effort to reopen the hotel and rehire all the staff deserve a great compliment.
Nonetheless, the shortfall in service and amenities should not be compromised with the situation and some area such as cleanliness should not fall short especially when the hotel priced themselves at the highest in the city.
The management should really consider to focus on guests service and sincere hospitality and that they can have customers who are willing to pay at any price rather that worked any way possible to cut the cost and let the staff to deal with insufficient amenities and services.

ずっと泊まってみたかったので、今回３泊しました。バスタブに付いてるシャワーのヘッドが今にも取れそうなくらいグラグラで、使用してた际に取れてしまい、翌朝伝えてもらい観光へ。観光から戻ると直して下さっており、デスクには谢罪のメッセージも置いてありました。
朝食はメニューからのオーダー制でしたが、フルーツが食べたいと伝えると、快く用意して下さいました。ヨーグルトにかかっていた蜂蜜がとても美味しく、パッケージの写真を撮らせて顶きました。ヤンゴンとマンダレーのスーパーで探しましたが见つからず、后日、何処で购入出来るのかをメールすると、担当に确认してみるとのお返事を顶いた后の返信はありませんでした。结局、现地の友人达の协力があり、蜂蜜の会社から滞在先のホテルへ配达してもらいました。マンダレーへの移动日、チェックアウトが4时前でしたが、ボックスを用意して下さり、ツナサンド、ゆで*、フルーツ盛り合わせ、パン、カフェラテが入っており、今までミャンマーへ行った中で、一番豪华な朝食ボックスでした。ありがとうございました。

服务还不错，百年历史建筑拍照很出片。早餐点单制，出品优秀。
缺点也明显，硬件老旧，特殊原因保洁衞生也跟不上了。

亚洲三大非遗酒店之一。除去仰光本身的情况单看The Strand是非常值得一住的。
酒店本身有非常浓厚的历史感，进入房间就是一股隐隐的木质香。房间不配备热水壶/咖啡/茶包，但随时可以请前台提供热水/咖啡/茶，早餐提供也是点餐式服务。
硬件细节配得上遗产酒店的身份。
洗澡热水有时供应不上，但总体瑕不掩瑜。
