We had a fantastic stay at The Stump in the Cotswolds. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. The accommodation was brilliant, comfortable, clean, and finished to a high standard.
The food was absolutely great, with a wonderful atmosphere to match. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
We would definitely recommend The Stump to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Cotswolds!

Amazing stay at The Stump! We had a night at The Stump with our two kids as a stop over between Bath and Tje Cotswolds and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, special mention to Tilly and Charlotte the AM she was absolutely fab! The food was lovely, the pub was so cosy, great drinks … highly recommend the amaretto sour! Our room was also fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful stay. ??

We loved the pizza, we shared two between us - a ham and mushroom and a “hot honey” pizza which was very tasty. The starters (Small plates on the menu) were ok, but quite small and quite expensive. The pizza is 5 star, but the other dishes weren’t quite up to the same level - in our humble opinion ! The atmosphere was family friendly at the 545 slot, and it is difficult to book later slots so must be quite popular. We liked it.

8 adults Visited here for our niece’s birthday after she loves it here but I had mixed feelings due to the menu and pricing. The steak looked good as it came out for another customer but after I was told you have to pay for the “chips” and sides separate I went for a pizza. It was really good pizza but I asked for chips on the side and was told they don’t do them but do a potato with Parmesan sprinkled over them with a dip, so I gave them a try and was left underwhelmed as 5 cubes of potato came out with the Parmesan and dip and that was ￡7 ! Staff were all excellent and though we all had pizza due to the pricy and lack of choice we enjoyed it.

The Stump is a really lovely pub with a welcoming atmosphere and great food. The pizzas are especially good. We stayed for two nights as were at a wedding at Old Gore Barn (I believe the same people do the food there too) . If I could give more than five stars to both venues then I would. Everything is fabulous, all of our party had a wonderful time.

H?tel charmant avec une tres bonne pizzeria. Le personnel féminin était clairement fatigué lors de notre séjour. Le petit déjeuner gagnerait à proposer une version enfant.

We visited for a special Mother’s Day meal, but unfortunately, the food was not up to an acceptable standard. The lamb was extremely fatty, and both the potatoes and vegetables were barely cooked. Our waitress did check in on us during the meal, but as it was a gift from my children, I didn’t feel comfortable raising the issue at the time. When I did eventually mention it, the only response passed on from the kitchen was a simple “sorry” – no effort to rectify the situation or offer anything further. I later submitted a written complaint, only to be told that I should have said something during the meal. I replied to explain the circumstances, but never received a follow-up or any form of acknowledgment after that. Very disappointed by both the meal and the lack of customer care. I had hoped for a more thoughtful experience, especially on such a meaningful occasion.
