If you are looking for a clean accommodation, perfectly located with friendly staff, then you are at a right place. Starting from the beginning, we had a lovely host Mr. Roton, who always had a smile on his face and was ready to answer any questions me and my husband had. Next, we stayed in Lilla room which is the one with 2 double windows facing the excavations and the street. I absolutely adored how much light we had in the room and how clean it was. Also, the bed and pillow firmness was perfect. We were provided with new towels every day and our room was being made daily. The shared kitchen was 24/7 accessible, so we always had a possibility to take bottled water from a fridge. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was based on self-service and consisted out of the food you could find in the fridge/on the counters: coffee, biscuits, fruits, deli meats, cheese, Nutella, marmalade, butter, sparkling and still water, fruit yogurt, milk, sliced bread. Many lovely sightseeings are just walking distance from the accommodation, so we enjoyed our walks to Piazza Navona, Spanish steps, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Via del Corso, Vatican, Colosseum. All in all, I would definitely stay again at the Temple View on my future trip to Rome and will highly recommend it to anyone!

The hotel gets rave reviews. I'm not that enthusiastic though it is certainly a reasonable place to stay. (My wife was more enthusiastic than me.) The location is central, which is good, though I'd prefer to be several blocks farther west. The hotel is clean and the room is bright and cheery with a big window and very high ceilings. Furniture is Ikea white or something similar. Bathroom is fine, though the fancy shower mentioned in other reviews is meant for a much larger enclosure, making taking showers a bit awkward. Views were quite nice from our room, 1 of 3 that face the temple. Temple views are terrific and the open space it creates gives you a larger scale view of a bit of the city. The hotel entrance is hard to find. Up an alley and marked only by a small plaque on the wall (see photos). Initially having rung the bell, or with a key once you are checked in, you go into a dingy building and up to the 5th floor in a tiny, antique but perfectly serviceable elevator to the nicely renovated area of the "relais." Kitchen is available all the time which is nice. Breakfast is mostly of packaged items with a good coffee maker, but no cappuccino. You'd do much better at the pastry shop (Caffe Camerino) a block away. The family that manages the hotel is quite nice and extremely accommodating. They do their very best to make sure guests have a good stay. However there is only someone on the property in the morning from 8am, staying into the afternoon. No one is there at all at night. Certainly a reasonable place to stay and the price seems good for this location. There are lots of restaurants within a few blocks lots of busses go by, and a taxi stand is a block north.

We highly recommend staying at Temple View. We stayed for three nights and it perfect. We stayed on the fourth floor and did indeed have a view of the temple ruins. The room was quiet and dark at night, the bed very comfortable There were only three other suites on our floor so sharing the kitchen for breakfast was no problem. Fridge stocked with yogurt, meat, cheese, juice, milk and bottled water. Also available apples, bananas, an assortment of bread (4 slice toaster) butter, jam, cereal, cake and fruit tart. It was a great way to start the day plus everything was available all day. Arif was our host on the fourth floor. Such a friendly, welcoming guy. Our king sized bed was made up with fresh sheets everyday and of course fresh towels daily. It was an 8 euro taxi ride from the train station and a fixed rate of 55 euros from the building to the airport. Arif scheduled our taxi for us on our last day. Beyond all that, it’s an extremely convenient location for everything you want to visit in Rome. We can be pretty picky travellers, but we have no complaints about Temple View.

As always, I will preface by saying I am very picky with hotels and have, as the saying goes, champagne tastes on a beer budget! This is a great moderately-priced choice among Rome hotels which are suddenly so expensive. It was also the only one of my short list that included breakfast which is always appreciated for convenience. It is in an excellent location - bars, restaurants, and taxi stand within a block, 10 minutes to Campo de Fiori/ Pantheon, 20 minutes or so to the Colosseum. Of the major sites only the Vatican is a bit far but my husband did walk it in about half an hour. This is not a 24/7 manned hotel so you do have to let management know what time you plan to arrive. But whenever we did see the 2 men working in reception, they were super friendly and eager to please. The breakfast room, however, IS 24/7 meaning we always had access to water, coffee, cakes, yogurt, etc. Loved this - so nice to not have to worry about buying water (though of course in Rome you can also get it from the many public fountains). There is a very small elevator in the building so if you are a large group or have lots of stuff, you will need to make multiple trips. I think there are only 5 or 6 rooms in the whole place, each named after a color. My husband, son, & I were in the blue room - my parents were in the red room. The red room is outside the hotel's main door (as if it were an apartment in the building) but faces inwards so it is quieter. The blue room faces the street so sometimes we did hear street noise, but with the windows closed, it really did not bother us. The rooms and bathrooms are small but having traveled extensively in Europe, I have certainly seen smaller. The bathrooms are very modern with fancy showers (jets/ rain/ handheld). If you are looking for a traditional hotel with reception desk, room service, etc., this is not the place for you. But if you want something minimalist, clean, and well-located, this fits the bill. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
