Friendly host,nice warm clean room and a great breakfast.

The stay was ok, I thought the triple room was a double and a single but it's 3 singles - thats my fault for not paying attention. One to note is the pub doesn't do food, it doesn't say it does on ********** but I made the mistake of looking on Google which shows pictures of menus and food so I assumed it did... The bas was busy and friendly enough (football night, showing on the tv's) Where it loses stars is I went down to breakfast at the time arranged when I checked in and the pub was locked and the lights off, knocked on the doors but nobody seemed to be about so as I was only there for 1 night I put the key back in the room and left for work...

Simple but effective
Very basic. We only needed a bed for the night. Did not notice it was in a pub. But the girl who attended us was nice and did a good breakfast in the morning.

Just stayed for a lovely weekend at this pub. The room was tidy and spacious for 4 of us. Very clean and tidy too. Breakfast was very tasty and a good variety of choices! The room has everything we needed including a fridge which was very handy. 15 mins walk to Riverside with lots of restaurants and entertainment. 20 min walk to the cathedral. We will definitely be back!

Not brilliant to be honest, though far from the worst too. No complaints at all about the lady behind the bar who welcomed us - she was fine and did her job perfectly. But the premises seemed old and past their best. The room was a bit depressing and half below ground level, though it was clean enough and the bed was ok. The pub itself smelt of smoke, which was odd since smoking is no longer allowed in pubs, and it was a bit of a dowdy, charmless place. Subjective I know - but it felt like a hang out for regulars rather than somewhere for a visitor to enjoy. On the plus side, it’s close to the city (though at the top of a hill) and there is a spacious car park. All in all the William IV is okay for a night, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. Sorry.

Highs: aircon included in spacious and comfortable bedroom with real coffee maker. Spacious adjoined bathroom. Close to the city and some other types of pub. Nice people staff this place! Tasty, plentiful breakfast included. Separate 24hr entrance to guest rooms, that isn't via the pub. Car park close to rooms entrance. Pub has pool table and darts. Lows: Some light maintenance/decoration required. If you can't manage the hill, you'll need some transport back from town. Privacy: We had 2 windows that face directly on to the car park at ground level. To shower you need to stand in the bath. No real ale or craft beer in the pub.

This B&B offers amazing value for money. The facilities are what you would expect in a 5 star hotel - coffee machine in room with loads of pods & tea and normal coffee, fridge, hairdryer, ironing board and iron in the room. The beds were comfortable and despite a party taking place in the bar, we slept perfectly. The welcome was warm and friendly and they advised us that a party would be happening in the bar that night - which wasn't an issue, also advised us how to get into the rooms if we arrived back and the bar was closed (they have a key fob entrance to the side). There is ample free parking on site and the bar and gardens are huge. In the morning we went down for breakfast and was wowed by the amount on offer. There was something for everyone, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, yogurts, cereal bars, fruit and that before looking at the hot food menu. They offered a variety of full English breakfasts, eggs benedict etc etc. This hotel is a 10/15 minute walk into the city centre which wasn't an issue for us. I cant recommend this B&B enough - we would stay here again. We stayed in room 2 which is a twin room and the room was huge - they would easily get another bed into the room as there is that much place. Well done for creating such an amazing place.

Stayed for the football match . Friendly staff , excellent breakfast & nice clean room with all facilities. Also had an evening meal which was very good . Would highly recommend if staying in Norwich .
