We have stayed at the Wycliffe before & was quite happy with everything. This stay, the guest house has new owners who were pleasant enough. It appears they are upgrading the rooms. Ours looked refurbished . We were on the 2nd floor in quite a small room, bathroom was quite small. Beds were comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities, adequate. Breakfast was very nice & left a small review in their guest book. They are a few eateries in easy walking distance. Would recommend.
Very nice, clean and quiet room. It's about 15 minutes walk from Folkestone Central station and 10 minute walk from the centre and the coast. (Leas Cliff Hall). Wifi worked well. Coffee and Tea facilities. I only had a bit problems to get the right temperature with the shower.
Very friendly welcome, room clean and had everything we needed. Fan, tissues, tea and coffee etc. First stay with new owners and they are friendly and caring. Breakfast was delicious
Old Victorian building. Very quaint with character. The hosts were so very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They were very attentive. The location was absolutely brilliant. 10 minute walk to the beach / Lees. And 10 minute walk to the town. Safe and secure and you get a key to the front door. Our room was a double with en suite but note there are rooms with a shared bathroom. Our room was very adequate and very clean. Coffee and tea provided in the room. Bathroom was small but clean. Best thing is they allow dogs at an extra £10 charge. Yay. Our room had a fan and a TV. You can ask for a hairdryer. Parking is limited to maybe 10 cars and is first come first served but there are some street parking areas in the vicinity. Check in was 4pm but you can ask for early check in if required. Bed was medium soft but comfortable. Seagulls were a bit noisy but that was expected as you are near the sea. Breakfast is prebooked the night before and there is a decent selection. The full wyecliffe breakfast was a little underwhelming but the porridge with berries was nice. Pancakes also looked lovely. Overall, £120 for a double rooms with ensuite including breakfast is pretty good value for 2 people. Yes I'm sure there are more modern hotels and guest houses around this area but this family run Business was perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. Thank you. Top tip... The Radnor Arms is a wonderful pub / restaurant nearby if you are looking for an evening meal.
Nice place to stay overnight, when travelling to or from Europe.
Although the place has been taken over 2 weeks ago, we were still allowed to put our motorcycles in the back garden, out of site
The pros 1. Very quiet 2. Free parking although car park is very tight and as most of the spaces are under trees expect the local birds to leave presents overnight? 3. Walking distance of Town Centre The Cons 1. Room dated 2. Curtains aren't thick so let in light at sun rise 3. Limited Breakfast Time 7.30am to 9.00am even on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. So don't expect a lie in? 4. No bacon or pork sausages for breakfast? 5. Single pane windows with wooden frames which rattle in the wind

Booked for 2 nights only stayed 1 as hotel has we believe changed owners . Stayed here in March and rebooked for May . On arrival found the bar was now closed and English breakfast had been removed from the menu ( no bacon or sausages ). WiFi did not reach the family room . Shower head kept leaking and when reported the owner did not understand . Hotel was still very clean and only a short stroll to beach and town.
