the room was pretty tight but the area was great.

The check-in was a bit confusing and I had to contact the owner myself coz there is no reception at the given address. The AC was also not working at all. Good the weather wasn't so warm. Otherwise the room is very comfy.

Hostel feel at a nice hotel price Dingy. Check-in was unnecessarily challenging. Should say upfront that you need to find a random door in the square to buzz a guy to enter a garage to walk you up to the room. Shabby

PROS: Great location, near train station, not too many steps up. Very convenient the private parking in La Spezia (the public parking at the La Spezia train station gets full by mid-morning). Clean, comfortable apartment. Staff responsive via phone, gave great advice on restaurant and baggage storage. CONS: the only window gives on to an adjacent wall. Staff not responsive to ******* messages. Micro bathroom. Don't let the check-in guy break your passport to take a picture of it!

I would highly recommend this location. Giovanni and family went out of their way to make our trip amazing. Our airline lost our luggage…. So we needed a late checkin. He provided assistance all along the way including a spot for dinner!
