Villa di Piazza is a beautiful little house tucked away beside a scenic old piazza with an ancient church and steeple. The decor is so pretty, old stone and perfect decoration. The air con was very welcome! It is close to Pula airport and approx 1 hour from Rijeka which also has an airport (Krk). It’s about a half hour drive from Rovinj which is a stunning seaside town. The interior of the Istrian peninsula is neglected by most tourists but it’s so unspoilt and pretty! Finally, huge thank you to Dragan who gave us directions, met us and made no fuss about us being very, very late plus welcomed us with a glass of perfect wine and a fascinating chat about the local history.
