Peaceful place in Nallathanniya with views of tea plantations from the restaurant. Comfortable beds with thick blankets where you can expect to have a good rest before waking up in the early hours of the morning to climb Sri Pada. Rice and curry served at the restaurant was good, but not spectacular.

Diese Unterkunft befindet sich nur 200 Meter entfernt von dem Start des Weges zum Adams Peak. Ein sch?nes, kleines und vollkommen ausreichendes Zimmer und ein super freundliches Personal! Die Mitarbeiter haben uns auf Nachfrage mit diversen Informationen versorgt und uns auch angeboten sie bei weiteren Fragen, auch nach unserem Aufenthalt, zu unterstützen. Trotz Stromausfall in der gesamten Region wurde lecker für uns gekocht und direkt Taschenlampen in die Hand gedrückt. Auch das Frühstück nach der Wanderung war sehr lecker!

This is the perfect place to stay to complete Adam's Peak, a 5 minute walk to the start point. Most people start the hike at around 3am in time to get to the top for sunrise. Therefore, there is no need to spend more money on expensive accommodation. This is a wonderful place to see, a great vibe, and the family who own and run this are extremely kind and helpful. It is like staying in their home! Beautiful views, setting and food!

I could not recommend a better place to stay before your hike up Adam’s Peak! The family that run it are incredibly accommodating and down to earth. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the start of the hike, and the rooms have a beautiful view of the valley. The food is all homemade and delicious! Truly an authentic stay in Sri Lanka.

We reserved one room for two days at Waterside Residence having gone through the exceptional comments made by foreign travelers, as well as the photos and facilities mentioned on website and other booking sites. They provided us with a quote for a room in a waterside Residence. When we arrived at the premises, they directed us to their other location, the Water Side Guest House, which has lower room rates than the Waterside Residence. Finally, charged a higher price from us for Waterside Guests than they do for others.
