Weekend away, the apartment was great, very clean, very spacious and well equipped. The location was perfect. Had a very good price for the weekend, out of season but still a great atmosphere in Westward Ho. Will use again on next visit.

To keep it simple, excellent position, immaculate modern and spotlessly clean apartments. Onsite management couldn’t do more to help as well as being very friendly. Not sure what else anyone could ask for in a rental apartment!! Overall made for an excellent 5 day break in October.

Just got back from a stay at the Westbeach apartments we had the penthouse apartment absolutely amazing, so much room, cleanliness 10/10 everything we needed for our short stay, check in was easy and straight forward! Location was great and sea view was fantastic. Will definitely be back don’t let the negative reviews put you off!! The story about the building work in the welcome book was a lovely little touch but also a sad story makes you want to leave this positive review as these apartments deserve the custom!! You won’t be disappointed on your stay as we certainly wasn’t! We will be back Thankyou for a great stay ??

Good location and nice sea view , balcony glass was dirty bathroom door does not shut. The bedroom mattress is the worse I have ever slept on and the tv I. The bedroom lost signal so we spent night watching phone Feel like the apartment good do with updating

If my memory serves me well, then this has been our 5th Stay at West Beach. We still like it here. It's a clean spacious apartment, with the mod cons and home comforts you'd want and expect. Where as many of the accomodation options in north Devon seem to have gone through the roof, West Beach remains generally affordable, though i'd always recommend booking direct. The admin staff, like everyone else are always on it. Potential guests should be made aware that the stunning images of the complex are only half the story. The complex is only about 50% inhabitated. 25% near complete, yet empty and sadly 25% derelict, crumbling, unfinished ruin. Id like to think that one day it'll be all brought into shape, but my guess not. The above should not put guests off, the location is great, like I said, we like it here. Other little niggles this time were the security lights in the walkways mean that the back bedrooms are near daylight, all through the night, which didn't aid sleep quality for my daughter or granddaughter. At age 4 my granddaughter couldn't believe that it want time to get up! ?? We were offered black out blinds, but were later told that none were available. Some of our doors didn't catch, as they should. But none of these minor issues would stop us going again.

Just arrived home from a wonderful weekend stay at Westbeach. It was everything we wanted and more. The sea view was absolutely outstanding. A lovely light & airy apartment with everything you might need when on holiday. Maybe if you were there a week a washing machine would be useful. The apartment was spotless and very clean on arrival. All bedding was clean and smelt fresh. Our only quibble was the with shower. I am not sure if it was user error but we had trouble moving from bath to shower mode. It seemed very tricky and ended up with the bath running if you weren't careful. Also not sure if the hot water is limited but if we showered on the evening, it wasn't warm the next morning. We did report this to guest services and someone came out to check it out. Can't fault the response at all. As we were only there the weekend, this wasn't a massive issue for us. We will certainly be back.

What an amazing place to stay Warm Welcome and staff very professional and polite Nice apartment clean with excellent amenities. Easy to get to with parking. 5 minutes from the waterfront and restaurants and bars Definitely be back again soon.

I booked five apartments in total for our yearly family holiday. Once we arrived we found we were all on the first floor (use of lift) except for one. So I approached reception and they were happy to situate us all on the same level. Three had a view of the sea, the other two of the apartments opposite (we were in the standard apartments), one of the bedrooms looked out at a building site and we we were woken around 7am by loud construction taking place, which are the old apartments being updated. Large apartments with everything you need and a balcony to sit on or put out wet clothes. The WiFi was hit and miss...Two of the main tv's had no netflix etc. And they couldn't get them to work..which was disappointing in the evening. Phone signal sporadic. Plenty of free parking and a short walk to the beach by the swimming pool area and rocks and around a ten minute walk to the sandy beach and town, although plenty of payable parking areas. The beach is manned by the RNLI and the tide goes out a very long way. Close by are Appleford and instow, bideford, Clovelly and Barnstaple. Very comfortable beds and bedding. The staff are friendly and if not available there are telephone contact numbers. We enjoyed our stay here. The one thing I will say, is that a washing machine and dryer area would be a HUGE bonus to holidaymakers, as we couldn't wash or dry anything all week unless parking up and using the machines in the town, which was a pain. Even if they charged for use it would be a great addition. Something for them to think about to make life easier for us parents. We shall return. The drive was very very long but worth it to us if stating for a week. A great British holiday for all the family.

What an absolutely terrible experience. So disappointed. My apartment was tucked right round the back behind the bins and had a disused empty building used by squatters behind it. I felt quite unsettl3d by the location of my apartment. I open3d the fromt door to disciver there were 2 laundry cages inside, one in the hall and one in the kitchen. The temperature inside was 25 degrees. No bin in the kitchen. No bathmat in the bathroom. As a solo female traveller I felt quite vulnerable and seemed to be the only other guest in the block. Talk about deserted. The view from my balcony was awful. Graffitied walls and broken fencing. Then to top it off this evening I thought I was being broken into when my front door handle was yanked hard several times and I could hear voices outside. Eventually I summoned up the courage to open it, to find 2 people stood there telling me I was in their apartment! They had also been allocated the same one as me. This scared me and I felt quite shaken up by the whole experience. I cannot wait to check out tomorrow morning and unsurprisingly will not be coming back again.

Fantastic apartments, modern and super clean. Everything g you need is there and they are roomy too. Located a stones throw from the beach with local amenities close to hand. Atlantic Fish Bar is super for no cooking evenings!!! Perfect base for visiting the area. The sand dunes at Baunton Burrows is a must
