We had a wonderful romantic stay at this beautiful hotel with absolutely stunning views. The sun lights up the place from morning through afternoon, making it the perfect spot to relax. The staff treated us like royalty—breakfast was even served on our balcony, which made for a truly special start to each day. The only thing to be aware of is that the property is quite hilly with steep steps, so if you're uneasy with heights or strenuous stairs, it's worth checking that in advance. That said, we would happily stay here again!

Stayed 3 nights. Wow…. what can you say about this very unique hotels experience; location, exceptional views and our room (Monastery) with very large balcony. The owner, Alexis and his small team were very helpful and on hand to provide local information. Located in Ano Syros you have to be part mountain goat, with a very steep hill and many hundreds of step down to Ermoupoli town, (takes circa 40 minutes to walk) and harbour with shops and Restaurants. It’s a test of balance and fitness so a taxi is worth considering. Note; it’s a five to ten minute walk with steps etc from the taxi drop off to the hotel. Ano Syros has a small winding streets with a selection of bars and restaurants. Adding to its unique character, there are lots of uneven steps around the hotel so it’s not for the faint hearted but worth it. Very small plunge pool, two sun loungers, four rooms. Breakfast is cooked to order, fresh, using local produce and is excellent. Would we stay again…. Yes but the hotel location and steps are a serious factor to consider.

We could not love Wind Tales more! A stunning 4 bedroom boutique hotel with the best service and one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in any hotel (every dish and ingredient either locally sourced or homemade, absolutely unique and delicious). Alexis, Tonia and Dimitris are amazing hosts, anticipating your every need from restaurant bookings to taxi pick ups to car hire to beach club reservations. Really first class, personal service. The hotel is so uniquely furnished and decorated, cool but cozy, and the pool and terrace area with the view over to Tinos and Mykonos in the distance are amazing. Another Syros is a stunning little village with a lot to offer in terms of high end restaurants to cute, local tavernas. Big thanks to Wind Tales for 4 nights of bliss!

What can I say... Wind Tales is pure paradise. Imagine waking up to the soothing sounds of the wind and waves, greeted by a breathtaking view that sets the tone for the day. The breakfast here is simply the best you’ll ever have, with all ingredients sourced locally and as fresh as can be. In the evening, savor a glass of wine under a sky full of stars, with the twinkling lights of the town in the distance—it’s nothing short of magical. Alexis and Tonia are exceptional hosts. Their recommendations will ensure you have the best holiday imaginable, and they go above and beyond to make your stay truly special. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights spent at Wind Tales earlier this month. This is a unique and intimate guest house in a stunning location. As others have mentioned, the owner Alexis is extremely attentive and was there to meet us at the ferry port (very helpful as the house is almost impossible to find in the car-free maze of Ano Syros). Alexis gave us useful advice about the town of Ermopouli and the rest of the island and was happy to make arrangements for car rental etc. Breakfast was outstanding and included home-made jams, marmalade and other treats from the farm of Alexis' family in the north of Syros. We also enjoyed little treats such as limoncello and wine that were left in our fridge. Syros was our first taste of the Greek Islands and our experience of Wind Tales and Ano Syros helped make it an unforgettable experience.

I had stayed with my girlfriend for 3 nights at this place! We have been told that the pool was heated and when we asked the owners to open it they told us they wouldn’t!! We paid the place for the heated pool but we didn’t get this feature!!!!!!!!

Un endroit magique qui mérite bien son nom - une équipe extraordinaire et dévouée à la satisfaction de ses clients - on ne peut rester indifférent à ce lieu d’exception.
Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux avec des produits très frais, locaux et faits maison.
Merci Alex, notre h?te, pour ces 4 jours qui resteront gravés dans notre périple des Cyclades.

A quiet stay with an amazing view!
Service at Wind Tales is top notch. Tonia made our stay so enjoyable. She went over things to do, ordered taxis and cooked the most amazing breakfast. It included eggs, homemade jams from the owner, fresh fruit and delicious yogurt. She even brought local cheese to try. Demetrius was also very sweet, he carried our heavy luggage up the numerous stairs to the guest house as no cars can drive into the town. The room was super clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. They truly made us feel special.

Charme et romantisme sont au rendez-vous dans cet établissement. La vue sur la ville et la mer est époustouflante. Quel plaisir de prendre le petit-déjeuner préparé avec soin avec des produits locaux sur le balcon! Le décor des chambres est de très bon go?t; le propriétaire a tout fait afin de donner du caractère à sa demeure. Alexis et son équipe sont aux petits soins et donnent de très bons conseils pour visiter l‘?le de Syros.
