They let us check-in early, offering us complimentary snacks and breakfast during our stay. The room was beautiful and cozy and every clean—would 100% recommend staying above this pub.
We enjoyed the Black Friar. Hotel was conveniently located and the staff was very helpful. Room was clean and sized nicely. We could walk to many restaurants and sights in the area. Loved our stay.
My expectations were too high for this room. It was small but it was clean. The location was good, but folks should know that you have to carry luggage up the stairs. Was very disappointed with the temperature of the water in the shower, just barely warm.
Great room, location, and restaurant. No complaint
Very well kept room and bathroom. We stayed for two nights and it was a very nice room with a great restaurant down below which we were very bummed we couldn’t go more than once.
We didn’t eat dinner there, and there was live music for awhile at night, but it ended around 10pm, so it was quiet when we wanted to sleep. We did eat at the restaurant for breakfast, and it was very tasty. We checked in around 8pm, and the owner/manager walked us to our room. He was very friendly. It was a convenient place to walk to various places, like Leakey’s Bookshop (right behind the hotel) and Greigg’s Bridge to get a good view of Inverness. Parking is not on-site, but it was a quick walk from the Old Town Rose Street car park. We only stayed one night, but I would recommend! It was clean and comfortable!
Es un hotel peque?o ubicado cerca del transporte publico, limpio y con un muy buen restaurante en el primer nivel. Aspectos que se podrian mejorar. No cuentan con elevador y las escaleras son muy angostas asi muy difícil manejar el equipaje, ademas por el restaurante de abajo puede ser bullicioso a tempranas horas de la noche
Lovely hotel, poor location
The hotel is lovely and the food good, however it is very noisy at night. There is a pub/disco right across the road which kept us up half the night. Not suitable for families at weekend. The stairs to the room are very steep and narrow so difficult to manage with bags.
We only stayed one night at Black Friars and wished we had more. The room was cosy and clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very personable and helpful. This was one of our favorite stays of our trip.
