Reviews have been quite negative but I found this B and B fine - yes the building is a bit worn around the edges but it is a very old building. Room pleasant and with all necessary facilities: bathroom great with large soft towels and excellent shower. No complaints whatsoever and will stay again.

To call this a hotel is a bit of a stretch. There is rarely anyone present to answer questions or be of service even during the 3 PM - 9 PM time period. There is no breakfast offered. There is no maid service so I suggest you bring your own toilet paper if you are staying more than one night. If you are two in your party make sure you stick together as there is only one set of keys and the front door is locked at all times. The water temperature was impossible to set and ran hot to cold and back again so taking a shower was a challenge at best. The "deluxe superior" room was neither and small. The chair by the small desk was broken and when I found someone to report this to the chair was replaced by another with a loose leg. The garden noted in the literature was not accessible. On the plus side the two gentlemen who were sometimes around were very pleasant.

I've stayed ar boutique 25 pre covid lockdown Breakfast was lovely previous 2 stays Boomed a night here last week Nice welcome Charged on the website for Breakfast but no longer do Breakfast so the breakfast refunded via booking .com I was glad to leave. Standards have slipped. Not as clean and in all honesty I felt as though I was been watched in my room. Sadly won't return next time I'm in skipton.

My partner booked this hotel as we took part in the nearby Landrover off road experience and we thought we’d make a night (Saturday) of it. However, after reading the reviews here, we looked for other accommodation though everywhere in Skipton was fully booked. But… After we found a car park 5 mins walk away (near the Venue pub and Lidl) that was less than a five for overnight parking, we entered the hotel (it’s definitely not a boutique!) It reminded me of the old fashioned B&Bs from seaside resorts back in the 80s and 90s. The entrance had an unpleasant musky smell like foist though we soon forget about this as we were greeted by a very warm and friendly host, who made us feel welcome and told us which bars to visit. He told us our hotel room was at the front above the nightclub (Below 25) which is in the hotels original cellar and reminded me of a cave (and youth club as we did venture in - music good, drinks cheap, no dance-floor and full of teenagers drugged to the point most were asleep on the tables!) Anyway, we did not hear any noise from the night club or the main street when we went to bed. Hotel is in a great location. Opposite Wetherspoons and a few micro pubs are on the same street. Room was pricey (￡100) for what it was - dates but clean, comfy and spacious - although it was still the cheapest hotel in Skipton on a Saturday night. Would we stay at this hotel again? Yes! Would we visit Skipton again? No! It’s the most bizarre place I’ve been too. Stick to the Sound Bar day and night and you’ll have a good time.
