Beautiful Stay in this hotel. We stayed 2 nights and was delighted with the hotel. From arriving given cold flannels & welcome drinks to the lovely staff who were extremely welcoming everywhere. The food was fabulous so cannot believe some of the reviews. It was very varied & fresh for breakfast and dinner. The pictures don’t do it justice with a beautiful pool and terrace with ample beds looking out to the jungle and lake beyond. The rooms had a lovely colonial feel & were spacious & comfortable. I met the lovely manager Damitha who I told his staff & hotel was a credit to him, thank you.

I feel bad giving this hotel such a bad review as the staff are really lovely and really do their best, but this hotel is very tired. The decoration is faded, bathrooms need updating and the food was shocking One positive is it’s a great location to the national park and udawalawe elephant transit home project We checked out after only one night- it was worth scarificing our room rate rather than stay another night

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une seule nuit lors de notre circuit, mais je dirai que cet hitel est apaisant. Le personnel est adorable. Le buffet est très bon. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien équipées et avec une méga terrasse. La piscine est sympa et s'y détendre après une journée de visite est un régal. On est plus dans un h?tel intimiste loin des gros h?tels fréquentes lors du circuit. Nous étions un groupe de 33 et nous étions les seuls le soir, nous avons pu fêter l'anniversaire d'une participante et le personnel à tout fait pour nous satisfaire et nous avons mis l'ambiance. Vraiment un hotel calme et reposant, une belle parenthèse dans un circuit.

Der Check in war befriedigend, die Dame unfreundlich. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss. Die Koffer dorthin mussten über verschiedene Stufen getragen werden. Das Zimmer war gro? und das Bett war in Ordnung. Auch das Bad war gro?zügig. Das Abendessen war in Bufettform und die Auswahl super. Die Getr?nke waren nicht kalt.

Superbe h?tel où tout est presque parfait. Chambre spacieuse, restauration sous forme de buffet trés bonne. Idéal avant d'aller faire un tour dans le parc pour voir les éléphants, Idéal pour profiter de la piscine au retour. Seul bémol le bar est triste et ne donne pas envie d'y rester.

Interesting aspect on arriving at reception, little ornamental bridges, pools with fish etc.Well appointed room, clean and comfortable, air con set at comfortable temperature and not with noise level of other hotels so comfortable sleep. Stunning location with lovely outdoor pool and wonderful views from the roof terrace. The bar and restaurant area were a bit dark and old fashioned in appearance but I loved them, very atmospheric and well stocked with wine at very reasonable prices. Good food in the restaurant although mostly tour groups dining.Very friendly and helpful staff. Would have liked to stay longer.

Wir waren skeptisch wegen der drei Sterne, wurden dann angenehm überrascht. Dieses gro?zügige Hotel am Nationalpark bietet alles, was man rund um Safaris braucht: Klimatisierte Zimmer (es ist sehr schwül), gutes Essen, Massagen und einen wirklich sch?nen, gro?en Pool. Es ist alles sehr sauber. Wir hatten von unserem Zimmer (402) einen tollen Blick auf Stausee und Nationalpark. Wir bedanken uns bei den sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern und m?chten den besonders aufmerksamen Service von Asanka hervorheben. Asanka

Sehr sch?nes Hotel und perfekte Lage zum Udawalawe Nationalpark. Zimmer sind sehr ger?umig und sauber. Der Speiseraum ist etwas unpers?nlich dafür sind die Mitarbeiter sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Auswahl am Buffet ist au?ergew?hnlich vielf?ltig und sehr lecker. Es gab sogar Pizzaecken zum Frühstück.

Hotelanlage und Zimmer sind sehr sch?n angelegt. 2-Mann Zimmer ger?umig mit genug Platz für 4 ge?ffnete Koffer. Bett war weich WLAN ist schnell genug zum streamen im Bett. Hotel hatte zu unserem Zeitpunkt ein minimales Insektenproblem mit der Umgebung (sehr sehr viele Mücken) was mit dem vielen Regen und der Umgebung zu tun hatte. Leider war aber auch die Balkontür nicht richtig abschlie?bar. übers Essen kann man streiten. Abendessen war ein Buffett und die Auswahl war sehr nah am Geschmack für Deutsche (war zu dem Zeitpunkt auch scheinbar 90% der G?ste). H?tte mir mehr Auswahl an lokalen Speisen gewünscht. Aus der Auswahl haben die Pasta Arrabiata wie Rigatoni mit Tomatenso?e geschmeckt. Frühstück auch sehr wahlbeschr?nkt mit 2 (oder 3, war mir da nicht sicher) Marmeladen (unbeschriftet), sü?e Stückle und Brot so wie lokale warme Spei?en wie Currys. Die Umgebung um das Hotel ist sehr dürftig. Au?er dem Nationalpark gibt es hier absolut nichts zu machen. Zumindest nichts, was zu Fu? erreichbar ist.
