We stayed here one night in February 2024 in a one-bedroom garden suite near the front of the motel complex with a free parking space nearby. The Lodge is situated on the famous Tongariro River and is less than 5 minutes' walk from Turangi township, which is located at the southern end of Lake Taupo, in the center of New Zealand's North Island. It has its own private access to the river, where you can fish for Steelhead (Rainbow) and Brown trout 365 days a year. After we got checked-in, we took a walk from the Lodge along the river to the Major Jones Swing Bridge. A nice place and would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay: located a bit off the main road through town, the units are very spacious (with large living/kitchen area), clean, well maintained inside and outside, with outside seating in front of the unit, reasonably priced, and friendly, caring owners; would definitely book again.

First stayed here in 2012 with spouse, and returned this year on a fly fishing trip. Executive suite was perfect, with full kitchen and spotless housekeeping. King bed was very comfortable, and managers were helpful.

This was an excellent find. Beautiful cabins that had all the amenities. Beautiful grounds and a nice walk on the property down by the river. Staff was very pleasant. The cabin was spotless and the bed and linens were excellent. Have breakfast at the tackle shop on the property. It was very good. Wish we could have stayed longer

You are accommodated in an individual chalet with outdoor seating area in lovely tree-lined gardens with access to the river with its beautiful walkway. The only thing to disturb the peace is the tweeting of the many birds. Our chalet (no 2) was one of the oldest of the 19 on the park and the fittings were a little dated but it contained everything you need and was spotlessly clean. A convenient gateway to the Tongariro National Park, and Turangi town has some local shops and restaurants. We had excellent quality breakfasts both days at the Creel Lodge cafe onsite.

Beautiful gardens, great access to the river & walking track. Our cabin had everything that you could need for a few nights stay. Free WiFi and access to Netflix, this was great on a rainy afternoon.The heating was excellent, bed was comfortable & great water pressure in the shower,plenty of hot water, excellent laundry facilities ,we had fresh towels dropped in each day.

令人满意的小独栋，楼上两个卧室，一个房间是大床，一个有两个上下床，衞生环境没得説，后面就是雪山。有空调很温暖。就是WiFi有点儿慢，还有衞生间在楼下，对腿脚不好的人有点儿困难。
