Thank you, Lene, for taking the time to share your impressions, and we’re sorry to see that your second visit did not meet the expectations set by your first.Since your last stay, Det Gamle R?dhus has changed concept — it now operates as a self-service hotel focused on offering clean, comfortable rooms in the heart of Gr?sten at a fair price. We send detailed pre-arrival information with a video and PDF explaining the door code system and access process. The keypad is illuminated, but it can appear dimmer in very dark conditions; we are gradually upgrading to brighter units for even easier use.The restaurant that previously occupied part of the building is now closed, as we’ve chosen to focus on accommodation only. Breakfast is still served daily, and several great restaurants and cafés are just steps away on the town square.Regarding towels, each guest receives a full set as part of our eco-friendly housekeeping policy, which lets guests choose the frequency of changes. We appreciate the note about bath mats — they are available on request, and your feedback helps us improve clarity around that.We understand it can feel different when a familiar place changes, but we continue to prioritise value, location, and cleanliness for our guests.Det Gamle R?dhus
