The hotel was great - a good sized room, very good value for money and free parking - but the attached bar was disappointing. We returned from an event at c10:30pm to an empty bar and had to ring the bell for service. The lady took some time to appear and immediately told us that she was about to call time - we were the only people in there! 5 people arrived after us - 2 had to plead to be served, the third was told that it was takeaway only and the last 2 were refused service, despite the fact that 7 of us were still sitting there drinking. We were all told to leave bang on 11pm, despite the hotel website saying that the bar was open until 11 (it wasn’t) and being forewarned that they host events at weekends that could cause noise disturbance until 12:30.

Nice staff we checked in at 18:00. Parking space is quite limited we have to wait for half an hour to get the parking space. The room is great small but enough. There are some restaurants around the hotel.

Breakfasts were very poor, on the first day there was no cook and the choice was very limited continental style, on the last day there was a cook but there was only one choice. The strange thing was that outside in front of the door there was a light that was on all the time, all night long. The worst was the shower, it was so leaky that more water poured out of the hose than the shower head.

Late arrivals welcome!
This was an emergency stop- over which served its purpose. I liked the fact there were real ‘in person’ staff available 24 hours to check me in on v late arrival. Room comfortable and extra blanket appreciated. Having missed dinner ( stranded on train) I was looking forward to breakfast but appreciated the refund as chef unavailable. V good value overall.

Booked for the suite as we were a group of 4. The room provided us all the things we needed, microwave, fridge, plates, utensils. The only drawback is that we got the room on 4th floor and there was no elevator!
